Lightningpaw was in the camp. She was thinking about Willowfall and Leopardheart. Her friends had left. Her brother and mother were dead. Lionstripe had moved into the elders den after a much encouraged retirement.
Honeystar hadn't trained with Lighgningpaw as much, so Lizardleaf had become a second mentor to her.
"Lightningpaw let's go on a patrol with Fuzzyfur, Browntail, and your sister," mewed Lizardleaf.
"Ok," shrugged Lightningpaw. Lightningpaw walked over to Skypaw and Browntail. "Hunting or border, wise and powerful warrior?" Lightningpaw joked with Browntail.
"I think hunting," grinned Fuzzyfur as he walked over to the patrol.
"Ok, Fuzzyfur," mewed Skypaw.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" asked Lizardleaf who was sitting by the camp entrance.
The patrol left and it was a good hunt. They hunted by the Windclan border. By sunhigh they had caught four mice and a thrush. "Well, that's a lot of prey. We should head back," panted Fuzzyfur.
"Wait, I smell something," sniffed Skypaw.
"I smell it, too. It smells like something I smelt when I hunted with a Shadowclan patrol. That's fox," grunted Lightningpaw. She turned around. There was a fox. A large red fox. Lightningpaw turned to her sister.
"Sisters forever?"
Skypaw smiled, "Sisters forever."
Lightningpaw and Skypaw hurled themselves at the fox. They clawed, but the fox fought back.
Lizardleaf ran for camp with Fuzzyfur to get help.
The fox struggled over to the river that divided the territories.
Lightningpaw wished the water would just come out and push the fox away. Suddenly, her wish became reality. She willed the water to lift Skypaw and her off the fox and carry the fox into Windclan territory.
After this was done, Browntail stared amazed. "Lightningpaw did you do that?" he asked.
"I guess I did," mewed Lightningpaw happily.
"Next time can you try not to get me wet?" Skypaw asked playfully.
The sisters laughed, for they had just taken down a fox. "No one tell the clan I did that, ok?"
Skypaw looked at her sister. "Of course I won't tell."
Browntail shrugged, "Tell the clan what?"
Lightningpaw smiled. Thunderclan would never know her secret, but could she keep it from Airblaze, Lilacleaf or Featherstorm?
Just heartbeats later Honeystar appeared with a patrol to fight the fox. "Where's the fox?"
Lightningpaw grinned, "Skypaw and I chased it to Windclan territory. We got splashed as it crossed the river."
Honeystar smiled, "You both shall be made warriors today."
When they got back to camp Honeystar kept her promise. "Skyrose! Lightningstorm! Skyrose! Lightningstorm! Skyrose! Lightningstorm!" yowled the clan.
"Also we have three new apprentices to be made," mewed Honeystar.
Mistkit, Flamekit, and Falconkit came forward. The kits said I do and Honeystar gave them there mentors. Flamepaw went to Browntail, Falconpaw to Oakbranch, and Mistpaw to... LIGHTNINGSTORM!!!
Her first apprentice and a warrior in the same day! :-) :D I feel sad to end this story in a few chapters. I have the name of the second book, but I need four more names. Make the names about what you think will happen next. If you enter you won't be destroyed in the toaster revolution. They are mad we use them for cooking bread.
