Warriors-Omen of Thunder-Book 1- Lightning of the Storm

Chapter 14

Hey, Loyal readers this is the last chapter then there is an epilogue.

"That is bad news," commented Airblaze. "Have you had an apprentice?"

"Yes, Mistpaw. She was my apprentice before I moved into the nursery," Lightningstorm mewed. She then winced in pain. "The kits are coming!"

Lilacleaf rushed over to the queen. "I need wet moss, and a stick!" The apprentices ran to get what the medicine cat wanted. The warriors carried Lightningstorm into the nursery.

"Breathe, just breathe," Lilacleaf said comfortably. Lightningstorm did. "Now, push," Lilacleaf mewed.

"AHHHH!!!" screeched Lightningstorm.

"One she-cat. Here comes another kit."

Lightningstorm looked at her first kit. She was a dark gray she-cat.

"Here's the next one," purred Lilacleaf as Lightningstorm screeched. It was a sandy furred she-cat.

"Lightningstorm? I think I know how many kits your going to have," whispered Lilacleaf.

"How many kits?" asked the queen.

"Five kits."

The next kit came followed by two others. Lightningstorm had given birth to five she-cats. The third was a cream tabby with brown stripes and brown eyes. The forth was a silver she-cat with orange streaks. The last kit was a miniature version of Browntail.

"What are their names?" Lilacleaf asked.

"Celestialkit for the dark gray one. Elementalkit for the sandy furred one. Cougarkit for the cream tabby. Sunsetkit for the silver and orange one and Starlingkit for the brown one," purred Lightningstorm. "Elementalkit and Celestialkit, after your kin, Elementalpaw and Celestialwing."

"May I speak with Lightningstorm?" Airblaze asked.

"I see no reason you couldn't," mewed Lilacleaf.

"I must name a new deputy before moonhigh and Lightningstorm I want you to be deputy. Grasstooth will do it tell you are out of the nursery. What do you say?"

"Sure."

That is the last chapter of the book. There is an epilogue though so thanks for reading book one. I know the last chapter is short but I will make the epilogue really good.
