Welcome to Transfer. This series starter is your introduction that will show you a path they will be starting. From alone to together.

Each of them has there own little quirks and differences. But I hope you learn to love them anyway. Any feedback you have to give us greatly appreciated.

When posted most chapters are unedited. I apologize for any mistakes.

Time to begin.

"Why do I have to be here?"

"It's just a briefing, like every other."

"You're asking about something you have all the facts to."

"Yes, but that doesn't mean we can't ask for the story from the person who saw it."

A sigh.

"It's been 10 years now since a fire consumed my home, my parents inside. I remember screaming for help. I was 9, so I didn't know what else really to do. My brother was crying in my arms I remember not letting him look at the fire as it seemed I went deaf to the noise. The first one there. Seconds before the fire trucks was my godfather."

"Twenty Four?"

"I knew him as Uncle David. But yeah. He took us in."

"And?"

"He raised us. He put my brother in a great school. And trained me."

"I see."

The scratching of a pen was the only sound in the room.

"You know of the man who had your parents killed. That information was disclosed to you a couple years ago after you'd been with us for a while."

"Yeah. What is this leading to?"

"Your next job."

A file slapped on the table.

"You will have 5 targets while your in town. A man named Gordon is jumping up in the ranks of the drug world, Christopher is trying to steal Gordon's trade, Sarah or Ms. Ruby has been stealing jewels from museums and has become a leader in the black market. Her accomplice, Jackson Termin is just as bad but we can't find any kind of evidence who he is."

"And the fifth?"

"Thorn."

Eyes lifted from the files.

"Thorn?"

"Yes. You're going to get your chance to make ends meet. He's becoming too much of a risk and we need him taken care of."

"Sounds good."

Pages flipped in the file, eyes back on the paper.

"What's my cover?"

"You're going back to school."

"Seriously? You've got to be joking."

"This is not a joking matter. Go to school, do your homework and get your job done. And then come back."

"Sure."

"Good. Seven will join you later."

"Wonderful."

"You're free to go. Have a nice trip."
