Chapter 8: The First Date

(One Month Later)

Aaron's POV

When I woke up I was super happy for two reasons. Number one today was Friday and number two was that today would be the day I asked Jess out on a date and to be my girlfriend. I already had it all planned out and it was gonna be just perfect. I got to school and as I walked in I saw Jess and I immediately ran up to her and hugged her yelling, "Good Morning Jess!!" "Um Aaron?" "Yeah?" "H-Hugging too tight, l-losing a-air," she said making a choking sound. "Oh! Uh sorry," I said as I put her back onto the ground. "Thank you." "Ha no problem." We both walked to Wood Shop together and all throughout class all I did was stare at Jess.

(Time Skip To 5 Mins Before Lunch)

Jess' POV

I went to my locker before lunch when my friend Alyssa came over to me. "Hey Jess!" "Hi Alyssa, what's up?" "Nothing just wanted to ask you if you wanted to sit at our lunch table today," she said as she hugged me. "Hm oh well ok why not? Wait, you don't think Aaron will mind do you?" "Aaron? Pfft he'll be perfectly fine with it. He understands people really well so of course he'll be okay with." "Your right Alyssa!" "Of course I am, I'm always right!" We both laughed then she left to go to the cafeteria and as I opened my locker a note fell out of it and said:

'Dear Jessica,
Meet me outside behind the library by Emerald Park at 5:30 PM. Also if you could please wear something formal

"Hmm I wonder what he wants?" I said to myself aloud as I closed my locker and walked to the cafeteria for lunch. After lunch I went to the rest of my classes thinking about what Aaron was planning.

(Time skip to 5:25)

Aaron's POV

"Five minutes before Jess gets here," I said aloud to myself pacing back and forth. I was actually really nervous about this since this could go 2 different ways. It could go really great or really bad and I just couldn't think straight, but when Jess called my name she snapped me out of my thoughts. When I came back to reality she smiled at me and I was in awe because of her beauty. She was wearing a amethyst colored dress that had diamonds all over it that shined and she wore a lilac flower in her head with white colored diamond earrings.

I was wearing a grey suit with my red blindfold. "W-Wow Jess you look great..." I said as I tried to fix my cuffs. "O-Oh really? Thank you and you look great too," she said as she started to blush a little bit. "So why did you want me to come here?" she asked as she walked closer to me. I stared into her beautiful hazel eyes for a little bit then said, "Follow me.." We walked towards where there was nothing except a huge lake and hills surrounding it. She held my hand and said,"Wow Aaron this is ju-" before I could let her finish I pressed a button that was on my cuff and then a pathway of lights turned on leading to a huge tree.

"Wow! Aaron how did you?...." "Shh, Jess just follow me," I said to her as we started walking down the path. We got to the tree and when we arrived there was a table with a person playing violin and lit candles. Jess looked around in awe then said, "This is so beautiful..." "Just like you," I said as I smiled. She blushed then we went to go sit down at the table and eat.

(One Hour Later)

After Jess and I finished eating I took her to one of the hills and we sat down and just looked up to the sky and looked at the stars. After about 30 minutes of looking at them I pulled out my guitar and started play 'Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol.

"Wow Aaron. This has just been so beautiful, but I still don't understand why you wanted me to come here," she said as she sat up from laying on the ground. I stood up and brought her up with me, sighed then said, "Jess you are an amazing person. Your beautiful have a great personality and it's just that your so wonderful. You've made me smile everyday and every time I saw you. On the first day you came here I made a bad assumption about you that I was so very wrong about and also that day I.....I developed feelings for you. As time went by I started to want you even more and I........I love you Jess." She had a shocked look on her face and I paused what I said, but then I finished off with, "I-I understand if you can't return those feelings, but I just wanted to say it to you so I wouldn't regret not saying anything," I said with a small smile. "A-Aaron I don't know w-what to s-say," she said as she looked down at the ground.

I frowned a little bit in my mind knowing that she would say no. I lifted her chin and stared into her eyes. She looked away then said, "Aaron I wish you had said something sooner because...I like you too." "Wait what?!" "Ever since the day we went back to your house after Garroth kidnapped me I started to like you. You were just so nice and handsome and you were just a great person too, but I didn't say anything because I thought that you wouldn't return those feelings." "Ha, same here. So now that I know we feel the same way about each other could we maybe go out?" She didn't answer for about a minute, but then blushed and said, "Yeah. Yeah we could." I smiled then twirled he around and said, "Great! Now I finally have a reason to do this." I kissed her passionately for so long and I felt like I was in heaven. When we pulled apart we both were blushing hard as hell.

We both left and went home and when I got home all I could keep repeating in my head was....
