Chapter 25: Jealousy Pt. 1

(A few months later)

Aaron's POV

"Alright boys, that's enough for today. Next practice will be this Sunday at 11:39 sharp so be on time," the coach said as everyone got up to go to the locker room and dress back in their regular clothes. "Hey Mr. Running Back!" Korey Hall said hitting my back. Korey came here from Sydney, Australia since his mom wanted to live in America. I don't know a whole lot about him, but we are friends and he is a pretty cool person. "Nothing, just going to hang out with my girlfriend," Aaron said putting his shirt on. "Oh well have fun," he said with a dismissive wave. "See ya," and I left the locker room to go home and hang out with Jess. But, first I had to text my dad to come and pick me up.

A: Hey dad, you can come and pick me up now.

D: Sorry sport. I have to work overtime today.

A: What? Since when?

D: Since about 15 minutes ago. I'm sorry Aaron.

A: It's alright, I'll just walk home. See ya there.

"Ah Damnit, now I gotta walk. Welp, I better get going," I said to myself in my thoughts as I put my phone away. It would probably take literally FOREVER to go and take Jess to the movies then dinner to hang out. I was crossing the street and stopped, not paying attention, and just then a car suddenly stopped in front of me, beeping their horn. "Aye! Watch where your goin'!" the driver yelled from the car. "Wait a minute," I said walking to the side of the car to see who that familiar voice came from. I looked to see it was one of my friends, Kenjii! "Kenjii!?" I said. "Aaron?!" she said with a smile. Kenjii and I go back to 5th grade and I haven't seen her in a while, but she still went to our school and was the quarterback for the team, but wasn't here today for practice. "Well well well, if it isn't the school's biggest heartthrob?" she said with a smirk. "Well if it isn't the school's hero? Always saving the day for everyone. Anyway, what're you doing here Kenjii?" I said with a chuckle. "Well I got back this morning, so I decided to tell coach that I'm gonna be able to make the big game that's happening soon. What about you?" she asked pausing the music on her phone. "Trying to figure how I'm gonna take my girlfriend to a movie AND dinner without a car," I said with a sigh. "What about your bike?" Kenjii asked confused. "It's in the shop," I said quickly.

"Alright get in," she said chuckling. "W-What?" I asked confusingly. "Well, you don't have a ride and seeing as that I'm here right now in my beautiful Challenger I might as well be your chauffeur for the evening sir," Kenjii said putting on a English accent. "Heh, alright," I said. "Your girl will be alright with this right?" Kenjii asked slowly. "Yeah of course," I said as Kenjii started playing some music again. Back In The Ring (music in the media) was playing and Kenjii actually made it which is a surprise that she's be playing it. "I thought you weren't conceited, Ken?" I said with a chuckle. "Pfft, I'm not! But, this is my favourite song I rapped in. We both laughed and then started rapping to the song.
