Chapter 30: Jess' Birthday Pt. 1-Falling From The Sky

(1 week later)

Jess' POV

I wake up smiling because today is the best day ever, my birthday. Kenjii and Aaron said they planned me an abundance of surprises that's gonna be happening over this weekend. I quickly get up and take a shower then walk over to the box that Aaron and Kenjii gave me a few days ago. "Don't open till your birthday! And remember, NO peeking! From Kenjii and Aaron" I read in my thoughts as I looked at the box. I quickly open it to find an amazing blue outfit. I put it on then eat breakfast and head to school.

Third Person POV

(At School)

"Happy Birthday Jess!" Aaron and Kenjii yell out to Jess. "Thanks guys!" She replies and they all hug. "Oh, they grow up so fast," Kenjii said wiping fake tears away. They all have a laugh then continue to wait until school starts when Jess gets a notification from Twitter on her phone and it read: 'Still more sluttier than ever huh Rachel?' "Hey have you guys seen this?" Jess said as she showed them the post. "Ugh, don't remind me. All that's been on everyone's page lately is that post about Rachel being a 'slut'," Aaron says with a sigh. "What about you, Kenjii?" Jess asked. Kenjii's silent for a while. "Just say it Ken. I know your mad about it," Aaron says. "It's just such bullshit! Look I know I'm a vengeful person, but bullshit like this really pisses me the fuck off. Like yeah, I know that Rachel is a bully, but no one deserves to be treated like that. Sorry, I just need to stop talking about it right now or I'm gonna probably hurt someone," Kenjii says with a sigh at the end. "It's okay, but you are right Kenjii," Jess says patting her on the back. "C'mon let's go to class. The bell just rang," Aaron tells them and they go to class.

(Time Skip To Lunch)

Third Person POV

"Guess who I got as a partner in my Film Production class," Kenjii said to Jess as they grabbed food to put on their trays. "Um, Austin? He's really the only one I can think of since you both have the same class and aspiration in life," Jess says with a laugh. "Ha very funny, but no. I got Rachel," Kenjii replied. "Wow really? What'd you do, Ken?" Jess asked with a gasp. "First off, thanks for calling me Ken. Really appreciate it, but I mean she really didn't talk. She was wearing a black hoodie and just sat there. That post has really messed her up," Kenjii says with a shrug. "No problem and do you think she'll ever go back to her old self?" Jess asked as they both start to go walk and sit down. "I'm not sure. She could, but I don't think it'll happe-" and just as Kenjii tries to finish her sentence, Rachel walks into Kenjii, spilling food all over her. Everyone's looking their direction, waiting for a response. Kenjii looks Rachel up and down, then scans her surroundings. "I...I..." Rachel stutters. "It's alright. Next time just watch where you're goin' alright?" Kenjii replies. "Y-Yeah," and Rachel walks away. "I'm gonna go get cleaned up and change alright?" Kenjii says to Jess. "Alright. See you later ,Kenjii," Jess says with a wave and Kenjii leaves to change.

Kenjii's POV

"Remember guys! The party's tomorrow night. Happy Birthday Jess!" Korey says as he hugs Jess and waves goodbye. "Are you SURE he's not gay?" I ask Jess. Kasper laughs and Jess pushes me. "I'm sure Kenjii. I'm sure," she replies with a laugh. "Alright, let's get going," I says as I close my locker. We walk out then talk for a little bit then I just remember I left my laptop in my locker. "Ah damnit, I forgot my laptop. I'll be right back guys," I say to them as I close up my backpack. They nod and I leave to go find my laptop.
