Chapter 24: Back Where She Belongs

Aaron's POV

(1 year later)

"Well I'll see ya later guys," I said to the others as I grabbed my back pack and put it on. "See ya, Aaron," they all said and we parted ways for the weekend. I rode over to where Emma went to school so I could pick her up. I got there and waited outside, seeing all the little kids run around with no care in the world. "Aaron!" Emma yelled to me snapping me out of my thoughts. "Emma!" I said hugging her tightly, "You ready to go home?"  "Yeah" and with that we left to go home.

(At Home)

"Oh Kano," I echoed throughout the house. Suddenly, Kano comes running downstairs and jumps on top of me, making me fall onto the couch. "Ha, alright alright. Emma do you want something to eat?" I asked as Kano got off of me. "Yeah!" she said as she was attacked with love from Kano. "Heh, alright I'll go make your food," I said taking of my backpack and going into the kitchen. A while ago Emma was cleared for being able to live a normal life again, which made my parents realize who knows what and now they said they were willing to give their marriage another shot. Now we all live here and together as a real family. It's so great, but it would be so much better with Jess here. I fixed both Emma and I a sandwich with chips and went to go watch some Spongebob. "Aaron, you have any homework today?" Emma asked me with a mouth full of food. "No, I don't why?" I said with a laugh. "Yay! When mommy and daddy get home do you wanna do a movie night?" she asked with a big smile. Since I was gonna have an extra day at home because there was no school Monday, I decided to say yeah. "Alright Em, we'll ask to have family time." Eventually my parents got home and we had family night.

(Time Skip To 10:32 PM)

I wasn't really tired so I tried to see if I could call Jess. We hadn't really talked to each other in a while anyway. I dialed her number waiting for her to pick up. "C'mon Jess, C'mon pick up," I said tapping my foot. Finally on the fourth ring she picked up.

(On the Phone)
A: Aaron J: Jess

A: Jess?

J: Hello?

A: Hey Jess! I jus-

J: I'm sorry, Aaron. I can't really talk right now. Maybe we can talk later?

A: Well um, *sigh* yeah, sure.

J: Thanks Aaron! Love you, bye!

A: Yeah...

(Call Ended)

I'm really worried now. Every time I've tried to talk to her recently she's always 'busy'. "Is she going behind my back? No, there's no way she would do that, she's too nice. But, lots of people do tend to stab their friends in the back. Is she cheating on me? Ugh! I taking too much thought into it. I just gotta sleep this off," I said to myself in thought. For a little bit I watched anime then fell asleep.

(Two Days Later)

My parents were out with Emma since they all wanted to spend more time with her together, but I just decided to stay home. I tried my best to sleep-in, but trucks decided to keep rumbling outside. I got annoyed so I ate some breakfast really quick then took a shower before I was gonna leave the house to go to the park. "Damnit! C'mon I have to have a clean shirt somewhere! *Sigh* Screw it, I'll just go shirtless and wear a jacket," I said looking for a shirt then eventually giving up.

I grabbed everything I needed for the park and left out the house. I noticed that two houses down across the street there were some moving vans and people putting stuff into the house, so I decided to go see who our new neighbor would be. From a distance, I saw a girl with long black hair and a blue shirt on so I decided to go and say hello. (Cue music in media) "Um hey! My na-," I said before I was interrupted with a loud scream. After uncovering my ears and opening my eyes, I looked down to see Jess hugging me. "Oh my God Jess! You're here! Why are you here?!" I said picking her up, twirling her and passionately kissing her. We eventually ran out of air so we stopped and she finally answered my question. "Well a couple months ago, my dad said that he got an offer from when he worked here, which was a lot better than the deal that his old job in Crimson Valley so he had to pack really quickly, but school was still going on so I didn't really have time to talk to you, but I didn't tell you because I wanted it to be a surprise, so surprise," she said happily. "So that's why she couldn't talk. I knew she wasn't doing anything bad, she was just really busy," I said to myself in my thoughts while staring happily at her. "Where's your ring?" she asked as she looked down at my finger. "Oh I left it inside because I didn't wanna lose it at the park," I said looking down at her. She looked at my chest noticing I wasn't wearing a shirt really hard then looked up at me, blushing with a smile, and I did the same.

Hey guys. It's your dood Koda here, sorry if I don't seem as energetic as I usually do. So far my summer has been kind of shit with EVERYONE arguing(my friends and family) and just some people in general. I am meaning to get these updates out sooner, but I've just been having so much trouble because of everything that's kind of been happening and right now it's just really difficult because I'm in a hard time right now. But one thing that has cheered me up today was that I saw the newest Pokémon Sun and Moon trailer, and it was AWESOME. Personally, I'm getting Pokémon Sun because Solgaleo looks like a badass.
