Chapter 11: Investigation & Memory Lost

Aaron's POV

I went to my friend Austin's house so he could help me investigate what happened and who hit Jess' car. When I got there I knocked on his door and immediately opened the door when I knocked. "I see you got my text," I said as I walked into his home. "Ha, yeah. So what do you need help with bro?" he asked me as we both sat down on the couch. "Okay, well you know how Jess got in that car accident and everyone thinks it was an accident?" "Yeah." "Well, I think it was on purpose." "Ok, but I still don't understand why you need me."

"I need you because you are great with technology and we're both pretty good at DNA and other stuff relating to that." "So , what are gonna go to the crime scene with all those cops around?" he questioned me as he laughed jokingly. "That's exactly what we're gonna do," I said with a smirk as I started to walk towards the door to leave. "Wait what?! Are you crazy Aaron? We can't just waltz into the crime scene and try to investigate like it's no big deal! We'll probably get in trouble. Besides, you know nobody will believe us since we aren't professional," Austin said as he slumped on the couch.

I grabbed his arms then said, "Then we'll make 'em believe. I love Jess too much to let her go so easily and if someone did do this on purpose and we can prove it you know what that'll say about us?" "What?" "It'll say that we're smart, independent and that we have determination and good in us." "You're right. Let's go!" It was 8:00 when Austin and I went to go and check out the crime scene where Jess' accident happen and we brought along Jason so he could be the lookout. We got to the crime scene so

Austin and I started looking clues. "Hey yo Aaron! I think I found a couple things!" Austin yelled to me. I walked over to see what he found it was actually pretty good. "Damn Austin, nice job bro," I said to his as I gave him a brofist. What he found was some blonde hair, some blood, and a footprint. "Hmm we better get that blood and hair in a bag and I'll take a picture of the bootprint," I said as I took my phone out. "Got it." After about 4 hours of searching we decided to go home since we were all pretty tired and I had to perform at Emerald Park tomorrow with my band.

I got home and went to take a shower. When I woke up I took a shower and drove to the hospital to check up on Jess and see how she was doing. When I got there I heard cheering coming from her room so I quickly walked there to see what was going on and she was awake. "Aaron she's awake she actually woke up!" Alyssa said as she ran up and hugged me. "I know I can see that!" Jess' mom asked,

"Jess, how are you feeling?" "I'm fine mom. I mean my arms and legs still hurt a bit, but other than that I'm okay." "Oh Jess. I can't wait till you get out of the hospital! Then we can go go shopping!" "Ha ha um okay, but if you don't mind me asking who are you?" Everyone was shocked so then I said to Alyssa, "Don't worry I'll jog her memory then she'll remember you cause I'll tell her about myself." "Okay," she said as she nodded. "Oh, Jess I'm so glad to see you!" I said as I hugged her softly. "Uh am I supposed to know you?"

When she said that I was in complete shock. She didn't remember me? But I'm her boyfriend....I was her first friend here. "Jess y-you don't remember m-me?" "No I don't sorry." I started to shed a couple tears, but then stopped when Jason came up to me and asked, "Hey Aaron. You gonna be okay bro?" I stood up and turned around to look at him then said, "Yeah, I'll......I'll be alright. I'm just gonna go now since you know I still gotta go on to Emerald Park with Johnny and the others." "Heh heh yeah well good luck man." He gave me a bro hug then I left to the park so I could meet the others.

(6 Hours Later)

It was 5:00 PM and me and my friends were about to perform. Johnny was back up guitarist since I was first guitar, Trevor was the piano player and Miya and Sean were the back singers/extra instrument players. We were all back stage talking when Trevor came running to us and just kept yelling, "Guys guys! You gotta see the crowd we have out there!" I ran to the front to go see how many were out there and there were probably about 1,000 people out there. When I looked down towards the front I saw.....Jess.

I started breathing really hard and pacing back and forth because I felt so nervous with Jess being here. Johnny came over to me and said, "Hey, everything will be okay bro." "Ha thanks." "Now come on we have a show to do." We walked out on stage and everyone was cheering and a couple were saying our band name. I walked up to the mic and said, "Hey everybody I'm Aaron and we are Flight of The Wolves!" and with that the concert had begun.

(2 hours later)

After two hours of playing the concert was almost over, but then I wanted to sing one last song. "Hold up everyone! We're gonna sing one last song!" Everyone cheered and immediately sat back down to listen. I told my team what we were gonna play and Johnny got a different guitar and started to play and I started to sing.

I finished packing up my stuff and I was about to leave until Jess bumped into me and we both fell on the ground. I stares into her eyes and got sad because I remember the times we had when we were together, but she doesn't remember anymore. "Um your name was Aaron right?" "Yeah..." I said blankly while starting my bike. "Well I just wanted to ask if you if we could hang out tomorrow." "Um okay, but we have to do it later like at 6:00 PM cause I have important stuff to do." "Oh okay. Well Aaron before you go I just wanted to tell you that you are a great singer," she said as she walked up to me. I was quiet for a while then I said, "Hop on. I'll give you a ride home." I dropped her off at her house then went home and went to sleep.
