Oh boy.
The man, who I supposed was working here and was responsible to show us what to do and what not to do, gestured us to another ride that was empty. Suddenly I felt like a bucket full of ice was poured down my body. Shit, I didn't think through this when I said okay to Emily. Damn you Emily and your charms.
The man looked rather annoyed when he saw that both of us didn't even move an arm. I looked at Emily and saw her looking back at me, for reassurance. I tried to give her a confident smile, which in the end looked like I was having fatal cramps or something. Non-less I grabbed her hand and dragged her towards to the ride. I guess you could say I tried to do things without giving it a second thought.
YOLO much?
The man buckled us up and stood on the edge of our ride. He had a nonchalant face as he spoke. I guess it's one of the effects of doing the same thing everyday. I wouldn't be much happy bout my job if it was buckling up couples and friends everyday.
"You can't open your seat belt or get up. You can't harm the objects or anything at all. Understood?"
I couldn't even blink when he finished, forget about nodding. Luckily, Emily nodded in my place too I guess, which was okay for the man to hop off and walk towards to the game panel.
I tried to focus on another things but it was useless. I wonder if Taylor would keep her promise to come to my funeral in a pink bunny costume?
As I was trying the find a damn subject that could keep my mind occupied, our ride moved.
"Fuck."
Emily giggled next to me, catching me of guard and nearly distracting me with the velvet sound. She should do that more often.
"You'll be fine."
Our ride continued to move inside the house. Nothing "scary" was on sight so I guessed this was the part that's goal was to make people think if they really wanted to ride or they could get off, now or never situation going on.
People like me.
I turned back to Emily with a glare to her amused look.
"If you mean hearstrokes and possibly dying by that... So please, define 'fine' to me Em."
"Why did you even came with me if you are so scared of it?"
"I couldn't have left you to go all alone! What if you get butchered or something?!"
"Aww, does the 'oh so I am tough' Melanie Stone cares?"
I didn't respond after that or more honestly couldn't. Because once Emily finished her sentence our ride began speeding up inside the scary mansion, as cold air licked our faces.
I think we were going up?
There was an even creepier music playing on the background. It was the combination of funeral and horror movie soundtracks, I thought.
Just as we slowed down, the lights and the shitty music suddenly shut down, leaving us in pitch black and complete silence.
"...the fuck?" I couldn't even see my own hand forget about my surronderings.
"Is this a part of the whole thing?" I asked to Emily, even though I couldn't see her. After a few seconds later, when she didn't answer, I began panicking.
Oh my god they have kidnapped my girl!... my girl?
"Em?" I asked more loudly as I desperatly tried to find her with my right hand.
"Emily I swear if-" my hand found her thigh, quite hardly may I add.
"Ouch! Oh my god-" she began laughing really hard. That bitch!
