Chapter 34 - Bargaining

The world stood still, to be more accurate my world stood still. I watch with a mixture of horror and panic as Paige tried to get the broadcast back but I knew it was gone. Minny had fainted but Luhan was there. Mrs. Khan looked visibly distressed while a couple of aides were fanning Mr. Khan frantically. 

Everything was in chaos but I felt none of it. I felt numb. I felt cold. 

A hand gripped my shoulder tightly.

"Kai. Breathe." DO ordered me urgently. "Don't loose it now."

"She-" I gasped out as air filled my lungs.

"No. She is not. I won't believe it. No." DO answered vehemently. "Not Flo. No."

"But-" I said as I took another breath.

"Let's get out of the way." Lay said steering both DO and I to a corner. He made me sit down on the floor and put my head between my knees.

"Breathe Kai." Lay said softly. "You need to breathe to live. Come on bro."

"I don't want to.." I said but was already taking in air very fast. Her painfully blue eyes, her battered face filling my mind. I grasped the side of my head and tried to squeeze the images out but it was useless.

Oppa... Her voice.

My world is gone.

I felt my heart clench in agony as I imaged what laid ahead.

No. I can't. I rather end it here.

"Jong In." DO snapped at me. "Kai damn it. You can't do this now. We need everyone."

"What's happening?" I heard Chanyeol ask. His voice full of panic.

Before anyone can answer a pair of hands grabbed my shirt and hauled me up.

"Kris! Stop!" Someone shouted.

"You are the reason for all of this. You. You!" Kris shouted tightening his hold on my shirt making it hard for me to breathe. I gasped for air for a couple of times but gave up. It was not worth it.

She was gone.

I stared back listlessly at Kris' blazing eyes. The thought of me being lucky he had changed entered my mind again but then.. I wanted him to punch me. I deserved more then just a punch.

"YIFAN! Put him down!" We all heard Mrs. Khan shout.

I was dropped unceremoniously on the floor and Chanyeol grabbed me away from Kris' reach.

"Please everyone stop. Stop fighting." Mrs. Khan said wiping her check. She was crying. "We need to band together. We need each other to find her."

"But Auntie.." Sehun said also wiping his face.

"I will not believe anything until I see her." Mrs. Khan said. "We should not loose hope. We still have those coordinates."

"Ma'am!" Paige shouted. We all whirled to where she stood.

"What?" Mr. Khan demanded.

"Her tracker..." Paige stammered out. "Flo's tracker was activated just now."

I frowned and felt for my pocket and inside was the necklace. Mrs. Khan saw me holding it.

"Flo has two trackers. That is the primary one and the other is her blue bracelet. The star charm is the tracker." Mrs. Khan said.
