Chapter 55 - Fluff Ball and Cheese

FLO POV

Jong In was ordered on to complete bed rest for a few days for the stunt he pulled two days after we arrived here, he tried one time to stand. Gus told him he was still too weak to move around and also, they have received word from the Institute that we need to stay low for awhile.

It has been a week.

"That means they haven't caught Abaddon yet." I pondered. Nana was in town to get groceries because they have forgotten how much I usually ate. Add a healing man to that equation and of course they needed to do bi-weekly groceries. I placed the orange sliced I had peeled off the skin onto a plate. I popped one onto my mouth as Jong In opened his. I rolled my eyes at him but placed a slice onto his open mouth. He chewed with a pensive expression.

"He's slippery like a worm." He commented.

"I wonder if the others are okay?" I asked.

"We can ask Gus and Nana when they come back." He answered and tried to sit up. I immediately moved to help him. He grinned when I had to move close to place a pillow behind him. His arms lazily wrapped around my waist.

"Jong In." I warned but felt my heart started to beat fast.

"I don't have a heart monitor anymore. Gus won't find out." He said.

"I still will if you don't close the door." Gus said entering the room with his tray of bandages and cleaning solvents.

Jong In laughed as he let me go, he wasn't even a tad embarrassed and here I was being a tomato. I sat back on the other side of the bed as Gus went about on changing Jong In's wounds. Despite the severity of his bleeding, the bullet wound was small and didn't mar his toned stomach that much. I felt an urge to ran my hands on them to wanting to know how they will feel on my hands. My eyes strayed to Jong In's who was smirking at me. My eyes grew wide. I hated him when he smirked like that. It makes me weak on my knees.

"Like what you see?" He teased as Gus chuckled.

"Water." I gasped out.

"What kid?" Gus asked.

"I'm going to get a glass of water." I said and removed myself from the room.

"Stupid Jong In. How dare he does that to me." I grumbled as plop outside at the porch. The cold air soothing to my hot face. I placed a hand over my heart. "My poor heart. Be strong."

"Hey Fluffy!" I heard Nana call out from the gate. She was opening the gate for their mini cooper. Gus had hidden away the aston martin beneath some clever trap and foliage. It was too conspicuous to drive around in this small town.

I got up and waited for her to arrive at the front so I can help with the unloading of the groceries. I hoped she brought me some pastries. I need to stuff myself with sweets instead of imaging Jong In.

"Stupid Jong In." I said kicking a pebble.

"What did the poor boy do?" Nana asked me.

"Teasing me." I said with an exasperated sigh. "How can someone who was gravely wounded be that cocky. He thinks he's being cute."

"Just kiss him already." Nana said as she opened the trunk.

"Nana!" I exclaimed.

"Darling you're almost 25. It's time for you to make out and do stuff people at your age do." Nana said with a grin. "Just don't tell you dad and Ren I said that, those two would have a heart attack."
