Kirstie carried Joe in inside his little baby carrier, and set it down on the table.
She smiled, and looked at me.

"Thank you."

"For what?" I ask, puzzled.

"For this."

"But you had to-"

"Scott I wanted to thank you for all you've done for me!" She smiles.

I smile, and hug her.

"Anything for you Kirstie."

She gets up, and heads upstairs.

I look at Joe, and he is fast asleep.

"So- son. Agh, that's never gonna seem real. Um, I love you- and uh, have safe sex. Uhh..."

I can hear Kirstie snickering in the corner.

"What?" I ask.

"Nothing- nothing- your just- oh goodness!" She laughs.

"Once we have a daughter it's going to be a complete game changer."

"I'm aware." She jokes, and kisses my cheek.

"Slay my life." I laugh.

"I already did."

I kiss her again, and she asks what I want for lunch.

"Let me make lunch."

"What?" She seems puzzled.

"You just had a 7 pound brick- I don't think you should cook."

She sits down, and gestures towards the kitchen.

I look in the fridge, and pull out some tomato sauce.

Then the pantry, and grab the noodles.

This is one of the things I know how to cook.

In ten minutes, we have food.

"Wow- impressive!" Kirstie laughs, and walks over.

We eat, and talk, until Joe starts crying.

She walks over and fetches him a bottle.

"Here."
She feeds him, and well I feed myself.

She comes over and smiles.

"My boys."
