I finally step off the boat onto the large dock on the edge of the town.
I tug my suitcase down the ramp and let out a heavy sigh as I take a glance around my town.
Greenwood. My town.
It's only been a few months since I actually left, but it's felt much longer. The sound of low mumbled chatter filled the air of the main street and there're many waves and smiles that come at my direction.
"Ah, Julie is back! How was school, dear?" One of the more elderly women calls to me and approaching her, I smile wide.
"It's great. How is everyone?"
"Everybody is doing wonderfully! Juliet say hi to your mother for me!"
"I will, have a nice day!"
I wave her goodbye then make my way back down the narrow roads which took a sharp turn at the end of it.
That's where my home stood, over the wide cobbled bridge and a few yards into the woods. My home was made of stone, the windows glistened under the afternoon sunlight and the vines which meandered their way down the walls.
That's where I saw the fire red hair and the neat and sharp women dressed in the crimson red jacket with golden buttons.
She smiled at me, "Welcome back, Princess."
I return a smile, "It's nice to see you again, Christy!"
