Episode Twenty

I almost tumble down the stairs with my hurried steps and I flew into the large kitchen where one of the chefs stood by the counter.
"Juliet , what do you need ?" He says peacefully, eyes shifting from the cutting board to my eyes.
There was no reason to beat around the bush.
"Do you know where Christy is ?"
"I think she stepped out to the garden. What's wrong ?"
"I just need to speak with her. Thank you." And with that, I'm off again.

It's always quiet in the garden, i always use to one here and enjoy the view of the forest in the back.
And I see Christy, standing with the gardener as he pointed to the vibrant flowers which were growing by the pond.
I stood by the doorway until she finished speaking to him until she stepped in.
"Christy !"
She jumped slightly , eyes widening large.
"Yes ? Jeez, if it wasn't you i would have hit you already."
I smile but quickly change gears, "This letter," I hold up the paper, "I need you to let me invite someone I don't know to the castle."

"What?"

"This person... She's my sister. She says that she heard that i've become queen -- and she wants to help me."

Christy doesn't even change her expression, eyes unflickering in the daylight.

"How do you know it's actually her?"

I hand her the paper, and Christy scans it quickly before nodding and letting out a sigh.

"I mean... I don't think we should invite her..."

"Christy, this is the only family I have left!"

It's quiet as I watch her chew her lower lip in deep thought.

Christy is smart. She knows what she's doing.

"I'll go visit her to make sure she's the actual thing. The letter says where she lives, right?"

I nod my head quickly.

"Okay. I'll start out tomorrow."

"Thank you so much Christy, you're the best!"

"I know." She says with a wide smile and i hug her tightly.

Christy has left a few hours ago, and it's made me restless since then.

My long-lost sister... Rosie.

I wonder what she looked like ! Beautiful like my parents? Smart like my mother? Courageous like my father?

Christy had said that if Rosie was the real deal, she would take her to the castle by tomorrow morning.

She lives in a town i've never even heard of, located north of our empire.

I figured it'd be a good idea to call Nova while i wait, since she always has some sort of amusing story of her brother.

Last time is how he flooded the guy's bathroom when using bath bombs.

"Hey, Nova."

"Oh gosh, Juliet. I need help. These guys are driving me crazy."

"What happened now?" I say, slight amusement lining my voice.

She takes a deep breath before speaking, "Jax and Parker had been arguing so much lately about such idiotic things. I can't even take them anymore.."

I chuckle softly.

"Who has competitions on the most consecutive push-ups while reciting the alphabet. I walked in on that one and i immediately walked out. Jesus christ."
