Episode Eleven

"Why are all of you related and didn't tell me til now"

It sounded more of a statement than it was a question.

Amy shrugged and squeezed her way in between me and Nova with a heavy sigh. "Hey Daves! Baby Bro!" She smiles wide and fist bumps Davie, "Amy! It's been so long!" He says bubbly.

Nova leans into me and whispers , "Don't worry this happens all the time."

--"Oh Wow! - Davie have you been working out!"

"Ah Yeah! Thanks for noticing!"

"Ahh, you look good. You should take my baby bro with you to work out sometimes!"

Blah blah blah...

...

"Jules, Winter break is coming up. Are you gonna visit home?"

"Yeah, how about you guys?"

"Me and Davie are going home, but Amy is staying here. Jax is going to stay at our house for the break."

I hum "That's nice. Why aren't you visiting your home though, Jax?"

"Davie's house is a thousand times nicer than my house, and my parents are working overseas right now. So, there's really no point in going back there.."

I nod and turn to Amy "You're staying here?"

"Ah, definitely! Me and my other friends always stay here during the breaks, cause then we throw parties and--"

"Parties?! Without me?!" Davie sounds in. The older girl grins wide and chuckles,

"Well, you always go home so -"

Davie turns his head to his older sister within a half-second ,"Nova can I stay?"

"No."

"Awwwwwwwhh..." He sinks down into his seat and groans. Sometimes Davie can act like a little kid..

"It's okay, Davie. One day I'll have your sister let you stay ! Right, Nova?"

Nova shrugs.

Then Davie turns to me. "Jules, why don't you come to my house? You said that you always wanted to come to Mineville. Plus, we have a lot of empty bedrooms."

"Really? Is that okay?"

The brunette glances at his older sister who nods "Yeah, it's fine."

Wow! A trip to one of the most well-known cities! That's amazing!!! What would I pack? Is it cold there? What is Davie and Nova's house like?!

-Wait. Oh shoot.

"Um. Actually I might have to go back to my home. There's some family business I have to take care.. But i'll think about it."

"Okay, Jules. You have like two weeks anyways." Davie hums.

(Two weeks later)

"So, you're going home?"

I tug on my small suitcase and pull it into the corner of the dorm room. "Yeah. I wish I could've gone with you and Davie."

Nova sighs, "Trust me, you do not want to be stuck on a boat with that guy."

"Well, Davie isn't that bad..." I say, feeling my voice become quieter.

"Sure.. Where's Amy, anyways? We should say bye before we leave."

"Uh, I think she's with Jax and Davie. I saw them in the lounge room."

"Hm." Nova pulls her phone out of her pocket and with a few taps against its screen, she shoves it back into her pocket.

"Your ship to your home is the first one to leave, right?"

"Yeah, what about yours?"

"Like, third.."

I nod then grab my jacket. It was really cold, even though it hadn't snowed in the area.

"Let's head down and meet the other guys in the lounge room. They should be packed up already."

"Ok.
