Episode Twenty Two

"Wow... You look... Just like me."

She was right.
When she stood in front of me, standing in
the doorway of the living room, I really couldn't help but to stare.
Her hair, same as my own. Her eyes, green emeralds, like dad's once was. And she stood just a few centimeters above me, but she looked somewhat younger.
She had dark circles tracing the underside of her eyelids. It was probably a rough trip for her, and she held a suitcase as big as a small horse.
After she finished staring at me, she quickly maneuvers her small feet toward me and i braced myself for the worse.
But she hugged me.
Arms tight around my body in a suffocating embrace.
"Juliet! You've grown so much-!"
"Ugh- Can't- Breathe."
"Oh sorry" she lets go of me. As soon as he she steps back we both smile humbly at each other, a soothing silence sounding in the room before she speaks again, "I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself," she fixes herself up as she steps back, "I'm Rose. Your sister, of course.." She mumbles the last part as she smiles shyly as she puts out her hand towards me. I take it, shaking it carefully before we both pull away.
"It's so nice to finally see you," I say, "would you like anything to eat? You had a long trip, right? Their preparing food right now, oh gosh I'll show you around first !"
I say, feeling joy spread across my chest, the warm sensation of actually having family. She smiles humbly, before gripping her suitcase, "i'd love to chat with you, Julie. We have so much to catch up on."

Buzz buzz.
I groan.
Buzz buzz.
My hand slowly maneuvers in the dark, hitting the side table multiple times before it actually lands on the cold metal and glass and i pick it up, raising it to my face before blinding myself by turning it on. My eyes take a few seconds to adjust, vision clearing to see two notifications.

Davie : hey julesss
Davie : u sleeping?

I roll around to lay on my back, before unlocking my phone to answer this idiot.

Julie : no, im skydiving in the middle of the night. Whats up?

Davie : lol sorry. We haven't talked in a while thats all.

Julie : we couldve talked tmrw morning?

Davie : yeah but i couldnt sleep and i miss you :(

Julie : oh

Davie : how is everything?

Julie : pretty great, actually. You?

Davie : drowning in school work but besides that im goood. How's kingdom stuff business going?

Julie : decent. How's Jax and Nova?

Davie : they both miss you and Jax is still my best bro <3

Julie : ookay then. Tell them i miss them?

Davie : what about meee? Do you miss me too??????????

Julie : no

Davie : cry

Julie : jk miss u too

Davie : awwe. Aight jules, ill talk to you some other time?

Julie : definitely. Good night, Davie

Davie : sleep tight , Julie.
