Raj's Plan

 Maddie's POV:

Iwashed off all the makeup as soon as Raj had left. I don't know what I had just said, or why I had said it, but it already seemed like a bad idea. Maybe some physical would be fun, but only that...I didn't know. I would like some talking, but if this was the best I could get then I might as well take it instead of leaving it. 

I hadn't been expecting it, but about an hour later Raj knocked on the door. "Mason, I just remembered that I don't have your phone number, so, if you could just..." He stopped once he turned around and saw me. He texted something quick and flashed his phone so I could see. Where has Mason gone to? 

"Oh, he left. Come in," and he did. 

I didn't know what to do. I really didn't. We sat on the couch awkwardly together. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what to do. I really didn't know what to do. I turned on the tv and hoped to see something that might interest both Raj and I, but no, nothing good was on. 

Raj's POV: 

I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what to do. I really didn't know what to do. I wish I could talk to women, I knew I was missing out on a lot. What had Mason said again? Have you tried physical stuff? Maybe I should try that. If I can't even talk to her how will I??? Oh, that's right. I don't have to talk for that! So, that's what he meant! I put my arm around her and when she looked... 

Maddie's POV: 

SMASH. Wow, uh, he really didn't know how to kiss. He was trying too hard, or maybe not trying enough. Either way, it was bad. You pushed him off. You had enough. "Raj. Stop. Either learn to talk or we're over." 

Raj's POV: 

I really wish I could have said something, but I couldn't. All I could do was leave. I knew she was disappointed in me, but what could I do? She was the one girl who had given me a chance recently, and I had blown it. I couldn't even bare to go back into Sheldon's and Leonard's apartment. I just wanted to go home and sulk. 

"What's the matter buddy?" I heard Howard ask as we descended the stairs at the same time. I guess I hadn't realized the time. 

"Maddie might break up with me." 

"She's your girlfriend?" Howard sounded impressed. 

"Well, no, but..." 

"Then you've either got to give her up or do something about it." I hated to know that Howard might actually have been making some sense. "There might be something I can do to help you. A few guys at the lab and I have been working on something. It might make you be able to communicate by thoughts." 

This sounded just like what I needed. "Does it really work?" 

"Well, it's just in a prototype stage, but yeah, it should work. Come by the lab tomorrow and we can test it out."
