The Date

I was terribly nervous. I couldn't remember a time when I was more nervous about a date. Penny told me that the only way to get Raj to talk was to get him to drink. I wasn't sure how to much it would take so I 'borrowed' some from Penny's stash. There was more than an abundant amount. 

I was half hoping that Raj would be late so I would have more time to prepare. I hadn't even gotten around to making dinner. I quickly ordered a pizza from some place that tried to make their food look as home-made as possible. I hoped it would be enough to trick him. 

Someone knocked on the door. I ran over to get my pizza...and Rag, who was holding it...along with a case of beer. "Hello my lady! Are we ready to party?!" He was already hammered. At least he was talking though. Raj put the pizza on the coffee table and sat on the couch and patted a spot near him where AI was to sit. "So, what movie are we watching?" 

"Spiderman," I put the movie in the DVD player before sitting with him. 

"Which one?" He put his arm around me. 

"The 2002 one. I watched it once but never got through the whole thing. I thought it would be worth a shot today." 

"Well, it's an excellence choice my dear." He kissed the top of my head. 

"AWWW!" I sighed. Penny had just gotten home. "You guys look so cute together! Let me get a picture!" 

"Penny...please don't do this..." I whined. 

"Come on baby, don't be shy. Go on, take the picture Penny." Raj was not supporting me. Penny took the picture and showed me. We did look pretty cute. "Now go Penny, and let me have some time with my lady." Penny smiled and winked and then left the apartment.

Once the movie was over it was time to Raj to go home. I offered to drive him since he was still really out of it and a quarter of Penny's liquor supply had been drained away. He had assured me that he had already made arrangements to sleep on Sheldon and Leonard's couch. 

Raj started to leave, but before he got to the other side of the hall he turned on his heels and strode back to me. You know, right after I yelled to him, "Raj! Come here!" 

"What is it? Is something wrong?" 

"Yes," I said plainly, trying to hide a smile. "You forgot to give me my goodnight kiss." 

He smiled and brought out my hidden smile. He kissed me. "Are you better now?" 

"Yeah...Raj...if you want...you can come over in the morning and I can make you some breakfast." 

"I'd like that." He kissed me again and then went back to the apartment across the hall.
