The Morning Confusion

Raj seemed to show up before the break of dawn did. Yet, somehow he found a way to already be intoxicated. "Good morning my little honeysuckle of a girl! How are you this bright and shining day?" I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes. I looked at my clock. It was early. Much too early. Raj was lucky he was cute. He was talking so loud that I was afraid he was going to end up waking up the rest of the apartment building. 

"I'm fine Raj," I got out of bed and headed towards the living room and sat on the couch. "Come sit with me." 

"Coming my lady!" He plopped down next to me and I leaned on his shoulder, too tired to do anything else. I felt like I was going to fall asleep any minute...give into tiredness....and I did. 

I woke up, no idea how much later, to the smell of bacon cooking. "Penny, what are you doing up so early?" I mumbled as I nuzzled my head deeper into the pillow. 

"Penny's not here right now my dear. I think she's visiting next door." Raj said, still in his sing-songy voice. I wondered how much he had to drink already. "I know you promised to make me breakfast, but you were just laying there, looking so sleepy, so I decided to do it myself." He placed a plate of bacon and eggs on the coffee table next to me. "Eat up, I've already planned out a busy day." 

"A busy day?" I yawned. "What are you on about?" 

"You and me, a day on the town. We'll go shopping, get you some pretty dresses, maybe a make over..." He started twirling my hair in his fingers. 

"Raj, I don't have the money for that kind of thing." 

"My lady, I do. I've just been waiting to have a wonderful girl to spend it on. I wish to spoil you." 

"This isn't some scheme to get me to do stuff with you, is it?" I asked dryly. 

"Not at all! I want to show you off to the world! I want everyone to know that you're my girl and how much I like you!" 

"Raj, you don't need to buy me things to prove that you like me." 

"I know, but I WANT to. So, will you come?" 

I sighed. There was no arguing this. "Just let me shower and get dressed, then we'll go." 

"Yes! Go my lady! Get ready!" I stood up and started walking to my room. Raj issues to be swift spank. I threw back a smile. The game had begun.
