The anticipation burned us deeply. Unsure of what was going to happen in those few peaceful minutes, we waited.
The guards and soldiers watched us and whispered when the massive doors finally opened. The supports bowed down as they made a path for Ozai. He walked up and looked Suki and I over and then a soldier announced to him what'd happened. He walked around slowly, watching us squirm ever so slightly. He maliciously grinned at us then finally spoke when he stopped directly in front of us.
"There is no escape, peasants. You're never leaving this place, you're a precious necessity to us. We couldn't complete our task if you were missing, Katara.." He walked over to Suki and looked her in the face, "but we could do without you." He chuckled.
"Sadly, I can't punish you since my bending was taken away... so perhaps your old friends will do me the honors."Immediately after he said that last statement, Bingwen and Shu walked into to the magnificent room that was full of an ancient cultural designs that neither of us recognized.
They walked up behind their lord and asked simultaneously,
"What would you like us to do master?"
The wicked look in Ozai's eyes sent a cold shiver down my spine and then he opened his mouth to speak and my eyes grew..
"You can do as you see fitting for punishment. As long as they're still alive when you're finished and they've learned their lesson, I will be pleased."
He then turned and walked out as well as half the soldiers that followed. The rest stayed to watch our misery.Bingwen extended his fire to make it like whips. He walked around and smirked.
"You two look terrified... That's just the way I like it!" He yelled as he lashed both of across the stomach, tearing our dirty clothes. Suki and I yelped as it burnt us.
He turned back to Shun.
"How about we do a combination?"
"Of?"
"Our bending you dunderhead!"
Shun rolled his eyes and bent a podium-like rock in front of him and was ready.
The pain was extravagant. Fire whip after fire whip and disks of earth repetitively hit us. Our clothes were torn to were they were basically rags that were stained from our bleeding wounds. I felt another strike of both of the elements and everything faded to black. It was still night out when Aang suddenly woke up...
His tattoos glowed, his cheeks were damp with tears, and the ground shook as he hovered in the air.
Sokka, Zuko, and Toph woke up from the ground shaking. They were shocked as Aang roared fire into the sky.
Everyone was scared, but Sokka was brave enough to attempt talking to him since he seen him like that before he mastered the all-powerful Avatar State.
"Aang! Aang!! Calm down, it's going to be okay!" He called out.
When Aang noticed his friends looking petrified, he lowed himself to the ground.
"S-sorry.." he sniffled and fell to the ground.
Sokka walked over and touched his shoulder.
"What happened, Aang?"
He looked up at Sokka, "Katara..."
