The music suddenly became very quiet. We quickly made our way back into the palace. Aang hesitated to go back inside the ballroom.

"Why don't we wait here a few more minutes. No one has came looking for us, so they must not have noticed we left." Aang suggested.

After a brief moment of thought, we sat down against the wall in the hall way that lead back to the ballroom. We joked around and had a magnificent conversation going on when all of a sudden there was a loud crash. Aang immediately jumped up. He saw two shadowy figures coming towards us, although they hadn't spotted us quite yet. While we still had the chance, we snuck back into the ballroom.
The performance was almost over. Nothing seemed to have happened within the room. We quietly went to our seats hoping no one would notice. Lucky for us, no one noticed and the performance ended shortly after we sat down.

We then went back to talking to the people of the Earth Kingdom. As we walked, I could tell that something was bothering Aang.
"What's wrong, sweetie.. I mean Aang?!"
Aang snapped out of the trans; thankfully not catching what I said.
"What's wrong?" I repeated.
"Oh, nothing.... Uh.. I'm going to go to bathroom. I'll be back in a few minutes."
Before I could answer, Aang had already left. I had a very strong feeling that he wasn't headed to the bathroom.

After about 10 minutes, I was starting to become worries about Aang. Being the concerned person I am, I decided to go look for Aang.
I walked around the entire palace; there was no sign of him anywhere. I decided I would take a quick look outside. Outside of the glass door, 10 feet away, stood Aang behind a column watching two strange, shadowy figures. From the sounds of their voices, I believe they were both male. It was too difficult to understand what they were saying or what they were even doing there, but I needed to get Aang.
I quietly opened the door; and made a quick and sneaky approach hoping that they wouldn't see me. I made it to Aang and then whispered,
"Hey. Are you ready to come back inside."
At first he was startled but didn't make a sound he saw the two men look over towards him and he quickly moved behind the pole. Then the two started to talk again. Without making a sound, Aang grabbed my arm and dragged me inside.
Once we were inside he explained everything that was going on.
"I knew it wasn't right to stay after that mysterious crash. Those two shadowy figures were looking for me. And not for a good reason." He paused for a decisive moment, "We need to get out of here. If they are trying to cause trouble, then I want you to at least be safe.."
Before he could say another word, I passionate kissed him hoping to calm him down some.

We returned to the ballroom seconds later where we found Kuie waiting on us.
"Where have you guys been?!" Kuie demanded.
"Just went on a little walk.." Aang frowned.
"Oh. Okay, well.. Come on!"
"We can't." Aang murmured, "I mean.. We need to head back home before we run out of energy. Remember that we did walk here so we will have to walk back."
Kuie seemed quite upset. With sadness in his voice he said,
"If you must go, at least take some food."
Aang gave Kuie a weird look. Kuie ignored him and handed us a small bag full of food.
"Thank you for everything Kuie." Aang said as he turned to leave the ballroom.
Without waiting for a response, he immediately left pulling me with him.

We slowly made our way downtown. We seen some people that didn't get to go to the party so I took the bag of food and gave it to them.
"We didn't need it. We have plenty of food at home." I smiled which made Aang smile. " Your always doing the right thing." He grinned. Then it got quiet.
Everything was calm. And for once it was just Aang and myself.

So I thought....
