Sorry! I haven’t posted in a while, but this one might be a bit weird and magical. I didn’t know how else to explain stuff…

New Chapter:

“Kain, what’s up with your eyes…?”

He didn’t answer, but now the crew was riled up.

“There’s nothing wrong, Nyn.”

“Nyra! Look out! He’s not Kain anymore!”

I looked to see Pepe yelling at me.

But I quickly regretted looking at him because Kain’s sword came slicing through my shirt.

“Hey! Stop!” I jumped back quickly and dodged another swing.

He wasn’t setting his aim straight though. His thrusts were wobbly and his head was lolling to the side slightly.

“Please! Listen to me! What’s wrong?” I tried to scream at him, but he just frowned and swung again.

I fumbled in my mind trying to find an explanation. I had read a ton of books as a kid and racking my mind of information, I was bound to find and answer.

Then, I found it.

Pepe and the other’s most have known it too, because next thing I knew, Kain was being tied up to a pole.

I ran to the side of the ship and looked into the water deeply, searching for Kain’s spirit.

The reason I knew the water melodies came from Sirens was because I had a book on them when I was little. It said that Siren’s were Water Spirits that, if they got a hold of you long enough, could switch your spirit with theirs.

In this case, Kain had been playing around too long.

I spotted something glitter across the water and quickly jump in the air.

I caught it in mid-air and held it tight.

Kain’s spirit.

It was shiny and white and a round ball, it was feisty and aggressive like the regular Kain.

I smirked and then almost threw up when it began to melt into my hands.

I quickly ran to Kain and kneeled in front of him as he screamed and groaned.

“Open your mouth!” I commanded.

Kain, or shall I say, The Siren screamed harder.

I tried to shove the spirit down Kain’s throat, but quickly, his mouth closed tightly.

I looked to my side for something to help me get the Man’s mouth open and quickly before the spirit melted fully in my hands.

“Quick! Open his mouth for me, someone!” I yelled as the spirit began to drip.

A crew member, who I didn’t know, came running over and grabbed his jaw, ripping it open.

I didn’t waste any time, I shoved the spirit into his open lips and slammed his mouth closed immediately after.

He chocked for a second, but the yellow slowly faded from his skin and eyes and I saw his spirit turn him back to cocky old Kain.

He looked back up at us and blinked.

“Hey Nyn.” He winked at me.

Yep, same old Kain.

I was happy then, but the troubles and torturous waters that followed that day, waited for me…
