Carter x Hayes

The two boys cried as they held hands in the airport. Both were silent, they couldn't bear the pain of saying goodbye. Hayes had traveled so far to see the love of his life, but now he had to go. "I'll miss you" Hayes sniffled and held onto Carter tight. "I'll miss you too" Carter said causing more tears to stream down his face. They hugged for about 5 minutes then slowly let go. "I don't want you to go," Carter said looking down. "I don't want to either, but I have too," Hayes said tilting Carter's chin up. He placed a small kiss on his lips, but pulled away not wanting Carter to be attached. "Can't you just stay a bit longer? Please!" Carter asked not wanting to let his boyfriend leave. "I can't sugar, but I will be back for Christmas, Okay?" "But Hayes that's 3 months away, I can't handle that," Carter said about to break down into more tears. "It will go by fast, plus we have face time, and we text all the time," Hayes said trying to be positive. "but see I won't have you next to me, I won't be able to hold you, or kiss you, or hold your hand, I won't be able to bring you flowers every single day, I won't be able to show my love for you on the phone as I do in person," Carter said. The look Hayes gave him, made him sick, he felt his heart pound out of his chest, he felt nothing but sympathy for the younger boy. He wrapped Hayes back into a hug, and they stayed like that, until Hayes got called for his flight. "Well I have to go" Hayes said and pecked Carter's lips. Carter began to cry, he cried harder than when they had met in person, he felt like someone was ripping his heart out slowly, and twisting it pulling at the veins and arteries, which caused the aching in his chest. He didn't want to let go, so Hayes was forced to rip out of his grip. "I love you" Hayes said staring at his boyfriend sadly. "Love you too" Carter whispered barely audible. Hayes hugged Carter once more and kissed him for a second, then let go and slowly started to walk towards gate 33. "Don't go" Carter said quietly, but Hayes heard it. Hayes turned around and waved goodbye to Carter, but Carter didn't wave back. Carter was angry, angry that Hayes wouldn't stay, angry that he Couldn't go with Hayes. Hayes gave him a week smile as he was about to board the plane, and blew Carter a kiss. Carter jut glared at Hayes, then turned around walking out of the airport making Hayes feel awful. Carter wiped the tears from his eyes and walked outside of the airport and to his car. Hayes was there for such a short amount of time, Maybe he didn't love Carter, Maybe he wanted to leave because of Carter. These thoughts ran through Carter's head as he drove, he couldn't shake the guilt, he felt like everything was his fault. Carter finally pulled into the driveway of his home and went inside. He didn't feel good and really didn't feel like handing his problems. He grabbed the sleeping pills and took 2, the laid down in his bed. Within 5 minutes of taking the pills Carter was asleep, his mind blank, and his body relaxed.

Carter awoke in his bed in someone's arms. He rubbed his eyes and looked up to see Hayes. "We don't have to wait three months" Hayes whispered and pressed his lips gently to Carter's.
