Jacob x Sammy

*Sammy's POV*
I felt Jacob's arm around my shoulder, I smiled at him with tears in my eyes. "Come on," he said guiding me towards the car. I stopped, "maybe this is a bad idea," I mumbled softly. He looked at me, "look Sam, go now, or never. I love you, but if I have to, I'll leave without you." I sighed, "I'm scared." "I know, but I'll be here with you," he said and pecked my lips. I nodded and followed him to the car. He got in the drivers seat and I got in the passenger side. "What if we get caught?" I asked buckling up. "Then we keep going and find another way out" he said starting the car. He took off driving and I stared back at the house I lived in with my parents. God, why am I doing this?

I sat with my thoughts while Jacob drove, we were silent, no music, no talking, nothing. I should have stayed, put up with them, just another year and I'd be fine, but I'm too stubborn. I felt a hand take mine and I looked at Jacob, "You'll be better with me," he said trying to reassure me. I nodded, I didn't need to keep those toxic people in my life.
My parents are probably gonna flip when they realize I'm gone, but I'm going to California with Jacob and that's that. "Your mom said it was okay right?" I asked. He groaned, "babe, we've be over this. Just shush, we'll be fine," he mumbled. I shrugged him off and laid back in my seat. The whole ride all I thought about was getting caught. They'd hurt me so much more than they already do.

I don't remember much of the ride because I fell asleep. All I knew is it was currently 6 am, and Jacob was still driving. "Babe are you tired?" I asked stretching as much as I could. "Yep," he said concentrating on the road, "we're gonna stop at the next rest stop." I nodded, "I'll drive from there." He shook his head, "we can't risk anyone seeing you. I'm gonna see how far I can make it, if it gets too bad I'll just pull over and we can sleep," he mumbled. "Fine, but maybe we should do that soon." I said. "Maybe."
After a long ride we were almost there. We were on the side of the road and Jacob was asleep. I decided to let him be, while I just looked at stuff on his phone. I went through Instagram, twitter, snapchat, almost anything I could find just to cute my boredom. After a couple hours I decided to get out and stretch. I got out and looked around, it was currently dark outside. It was so pretty. I got back in after a minute or so, and I guess the door shutting woke Jacob up. "What time is it?" He asked rubbing his eyes. "It's 9:30," I mumbled. "You let me sleep that long?! I said wake me up at 7!" He practically yelled. "Sorry," I said looking down, "I-you just looked to comfortable and I knew you were tired and I'm sorry.." my voice trailed off.
He sighed, "Sam it's okay, I'm sorry I yelled," he said taking my hand. I nodded and took a deep breath. "I guess it's time to get back on the road," he said starting the car.

After a full days worth of driving, 23 hours to be exact, not to mention the stops in between, we finally made it to LA. I was so relieved when we pulled into the driveway of Jacob's home. We went inside, I was immediately greeted by his mom and dad. I felt so welcomed, almost like I belonged. They said they'd get me everything I needed, a phone, money, clothes. I couldn't thank them enough.
Jacob and I spent most of the day in his room, hugging, kissing, and cuddling. I couldn't stop thanking him for helping me. I knew that in the long run this was going to benefit me, and I shouldn't worry about my parents too much. Jacob helped me out of a bad situation, and I couldn't wait to pay him back some time.
