*Shawn's POV*

"You're so beautiful Shawn," Jack whispered in my ear, "I love everything about you." I blushed deeply and smiled widely, "I love you too Jack." Jack just chuckled lightly and started to kiss my neck. I bit my lip as he started to suck roughly over the skin. He found my sweet spot and I became a moaning mess. "Mmh, fuck Jack!" I moaned out. He pulled away, "get up." "What?" I asked confused. "Get up," he said, his voice growing distant. "SHAWN GET UP!"

I jolted awake, immediately sitting up and hugging myself in defense. I was met with my mom standing in front of me, "you're going to be late to school, now get ready," she said walking out the door. I sighed and ran my hands through my hair, still breathing heavy. Snap out of it Shawn. I got up, and got dressed, styled my hair, did everything else you'd do in a morning routine. Then headed off to school.

I was on the bus, when Jack came and took his usual spot next to me. I smiled at him, and he smiled back. Jack Johnson, my best friend, and my crush. What a catch. Was Jack attractive is what you're probably wondering, and hell yes he was. Blonde hair and blue eyes never looked so good on someone. Jack was flawless, in fact that was his only flaw.

"Having a rough morning?" Taylor approached me as I struggled shoving my books into my locker. "Yep," I sighed. "What's the problem with your matter?" He asked making me laugh. "Well, its Jack," I said. I didn't have to look, I could already tell he was rolling his eyes. "What about Jack?" Taylor asked. "I want to tell him that I like him, but I know he'll hate me, so I'm
not going too," I explained. Taylor clicked his tongue, I knew he was thinking of something. "Just do it," he finally said after an awkward moment or two. "How? Just, hey Jack guess what, I'm super gay for you? Or hey Jack, I'm gay, and you happen to be my crush, lucky you!" I said sarcastically. "And this is why you're single," Taylor laughed as I finished putting everything in my locker. "Shut up," I said handing him my math book. I shut my locker, grabbed my bag, then took my book from him. "Are you gonna do it?" He asked. "Nope," I said. He shook his head as we started to walk to class, "just do it," he groaned. "No way."

The day was almost over, and I still had a choice to make. Tell Jack or don't. I've been thinking about it all day. Part of me wants to just say it, another part of me wants to continue dreaming about him, and not make things awkward. After a while more of thinking, I came to a decision. I am going to tell Jack.

I paced back and forth outside the gym doors, I was waiting for Jack to get here, and I was nervous. Practically shaking. I stopped once he came around the corner, he was carrying pizza and chips. "What's up?" He asked. "I wanted to talk to you," I said. He nodded, "is it fine if I eat while we talk? I'm starving." "Yeah, don't worry about that," I said. He took a bite of his pizza, "what do you wanna talk about?" I took a deep breathe, "I have to tell you something," I said. "And that isssss?" He asked. "I like you," I blurted out without realizing it. I wanted to say it in a cute way, but it didn't come out like I expected. A silence fell upon us, and I looked at him. "Oh," was all he could say. I closed my eyes, holding back the tears, then opened them a second later. "Shawn look, you're a great guy, but you're my best friend, and if we dated, it would be too awkward," he said. "How would it be awkward?" I asked. "Like if we broke up." "Who said we have to break up?" I questioned him.

He shook his head, "I don't like you Shawn, I'm sorry," he said. I felt my heart break a little. Sure I was expecting that, but I wasn't prepared enough. I nodded, "thanks for meeting with me," I choked out and left. I went straight to Taylor, and just cried on his shoulder.

It was the end of the day, I was on the bus again. I saw Jack get on, but he sat with someone else which make me frown. I leaned my head against the window and started to fall asleep. I was soon fast asleep for the rest of the ride.

When I woke up, my head was on Jack's shoulder, "finally you're awake," he said laughing. I looked at him and raised my eyebrows, "yeah, the whole ride here you were asleep," he said. I checked my phone, it was 7:30 am. "You're not mad at me?" I asked. "Mad about what?" Jack asked raising an eyebrow. I shook my head, "I need to sleep less," I laughed. "Seems like you need more sleep."
