*Shawn's POV*

I walked slowly into the library, I don't want to say I was scared, but I was scared. Being new to a school is hard, especially if you're a freshman. I saw the bean bag chairs in the corner, and walked over to them. There was a boy sitting in one, he looked familiar, and was reading the same book I was holding Eleanor and Park. I took a deep breath, then asked softly, "Is anyone sitting here?" He looked up and smiled a smile I would never forget. "No, go ahead," he replied just as soft and motioned to the chair. I smiled back at him, and sat down. I tried to focus on the book, but something about him made me want to stare. I kept looking up at him every once in awhile, and when I did he would smile. The bell rang interrupting our game of stares and smiles, and took us back into reality. Before I left, I smiled at him, and he did the same, then I headed off to class. English, English in room 213 I said in my head probably a thousand times. I walked into the room and to my table where the two idiots were. I sat down and looked around the room, only to see the boy from the library walk in and smile at me. I smiled back. Has he always been in this class? I asked myself.

So weeks went on, and luckily in that stupid english class, we moved seats. We were put into groups of four, and this was my favorite group by far. It was me, Cameron the boy from the library whose name I had just learned, Andrew the new kid, and Jack some kid I didn't know. I was really happy to be in a group with Cameron, and I decided I was going to introduce myself to the new kid, and become best friends with him. I don't know why honestly, Andrew was so quiet and humble, he seemed like best friend material. Once we got situated into our groups, we took turns introducing ourselves. It was pretty cool, Cameron kept smiling at me the whole time I talked, and it made me choke on my words. After a few minutes of talking, Ms.Kelsey announced we were going to the library for a presentation. I decided this would be the best time to talk to Andrew, and win him over. See I didn't want to be involved with him romantically, just in a friend way. As we walked to the library, Andrew and I talked about ourselves and we liked. It turned out that we didn't have much in common, but I wasn't going to let that stop me. Opposites attract right? While me and Andrew talked in the library, Cameron joined in. He kept saying things like he was trying to show off and act cool. I thought it was funny and cute at the same time. Throughout the conversation the three of us had, Cameron kept smiling his famous smile. My heart would pound each time he looked at me, but I didn't understand why. He had this pull on me, but I decided to push the feelings back. I couldn't fall for some guy I just met, I don't even know him.

It was fifth period, I was stuck in the worst class ever. PE. For someone who doesn't perform well athletically this class was hell for me. I was sitting in my spot, softly singing along to Panic at the disco's New perspective. As I sang a boy came and sat next to me, "I love that song," he mumbled softly. I stopped singing and smiled at him, "same," I replied. He introduced himself, his name was Parker, and he seemed really cool. The whole class period we talked about music we liked, and just about our lives in general. In the middle of talking a few people who were running crashed into us and hit the floor. Two of them got up laughing, and the third stayed on the floor.

"Oh my god Cameron are you okay?" I asked looking at him concerned. He nodded while smiling and got back up, then started to chase the other guys again. I shook my head and smiled, he was so stupid. Parker smirked over at me, and I lightly blushed because he knew what I was thinking.

A week later me and Andrew were declared as best friends to everyone in the school. We did everything together. We met in the morning, at break, and at lunch. We were partners for anything and everything. We even rode home together most days. You could say we grew pretty close.  Cameron and I only talked in english because it was when we were closest to each other. I still remember the first time we touched hands. I had my phone on my desk, and he reached across from his and tried to take it. I grabbed his hand to stop him, and he set the phone down, but not my hand. Now let me inform you that we sat diagonally across from each other, so this wasn't anything we could hide, everyone could see. We slowly let go once Jack made a comment that we were cute. I couldn't conceal my blush, so I hid my face in my hands.
