Dreams Come True (Austin Carlile/Ben Bruce)

Chapter 34

Stumbling for words, I mumbled my answer.

"I'm sorry?" Ben looked up in worry. "I didn't catch that."

"Y-yes, Ben. Yes." I smiled. He slipped the ring on to my finger, and then wrapped his arms around me, spinning me around.

"Oh God thank you!" He whispered, "I thought you were going to say no for a second."

I kissed him gently, "I could never say no to you."

The crowd cheered as we walked back to our small spot on the beach. Congratulations rang through the crowd, Emily found her way to me and hugged me.

"We're getting married!" She sort of whispered sort of shrieked.

At dinner we all sat around the huge table in the private room for us.

Liam stood up, "This tour has had it's ups and downs, but it has been absolutely amazing. We've got two nearly-wedded couples, congrats to you all. And we've got memories out of every place we went. Tonight is our last night together, we all go home tomorrow. I want to wish you the best of luck."

The multiple waiters and waitresses came and took our orders. I turned to Ben, still filled with curiosity. "Ben, why did you talk to Austin last night?" I didn't want to sound worried or upset, I was really just curious.

"I wanted to make sure that if I asked you to marry me, I wouldn't get beat up. He apologised for his actions, and admitted that he's jealous, but he knows that I'm better for you, and you deserve to be happy." He kissed my hand. "Alan told Emily, I presume."

I nodded, "Well that's nice to know. But now we have to go to California first and then to England. I have to tell my mom and sort everything out."

He agreed, and we continued our dinner delights.

When we got back to our room I started to examine the ring more. At first I thought it was a simple gold band, but lightly engraved on the gold was elvish words. A large smile grew across my face.

"You proposed to me with The Ring?!" I slightly shouted.

"Well yeah, I needed the perfect ring for the perfect woman didn't I?" He chuckled. "I'm glad you like it."

It was going to be nearly two, we crawled into bed. "I love you Benjamin."

"And I love you Randi."
