"Hey, wake up."
My mom's voice woke me up.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her. I noticed the dextrose was already detached from my hand. Whoever took care of me realized my body has no need of it anymore, I think.
"I got a text saying that someone hit my daughter with a laptop." She sighed. "When will you get tired in making me worry about you?" Her voice sounded patient, but there was anger hidden in it.
"Mom." I told her without looking at her. My voice serious. "I did not want this to happen."
"You worried me so much like after you wake up in a ho---" She stopped, looking taken aback. Took a long sigh, and continued. "Will it kill you not to be in any sort of trouble?"
"After when I wake up in where, Mom?" My voice raising.
She avoided my stare and stood up.
"I'll go arrange your papers, and then I'll send Ed to pick you up and drive you back to your dormitory." That's it and she's gone.
She's hiding something.
I know it.
What hospital was she talking about?
Was it the time after my brother's death?
Or there's another time I'm not aware of?
More like, a time I can't remember?
I stood up and started to rummage my bag for my phone when I noticed mom's was in the table. It vibrated. Someone texted her.
I'm not into sneaking in someone else's private items but curiosity drove me nuts.
The number was not saved so I don't know who sent it to my mother. I opened the message and it says;
Is she okay? I have this feeling that she's regaining her memories. Please text me back.
What?
Whoever this was, I have a feeling that she or he's talking about me.
Things could not get a lot fishier, could they?
I saved the number in my phone just in time before Ed, our private driver came to drive me back to my dormitory.
