When Words Fail

Chapter 24

Since tomorrow's a holiday, the idiots forced us to stay at The Hive.

Toni placed a single bed next to Tish and I's bed at our room – he officially made the guest room as the 'girls room' – so Scarlet could sleep next to us.

The boys decided to play videogames at the living room while us girls decided to lock ourselves in our room to do our requirements.

We were at the bed with books scattered all around with us. Scarlet and Tish were both in Indian sits while I was sprawled over bed holding a book near my face.

"You didn't tell me you and Toni kissed." Scarlet broke the silence.

I dropped the book squarely into my face and I froze in place.

"You and Toni kissed?" Tish exclaimed.

"She didn't tell you either?" Scarlet asked her.

Tish shook her head and shot me her tell-me-everything glare.

"What kiss?" I sat up and tried my best to sound as innocent as possible.

"Sean told me Toni kissed you in the cheek." Scarlet said.

I let out a sigh of relief – which made the two of them pin me to bed.

"You just sighed." Tish said.

"Oh that was one time! It was the first day of school and two guys were following me –", I paused to look at Scarlet who seemed to understand me, "Toni saved me and asked for a kiss in the cheek but I slapped him so he kissed me." I said in the fastest pace I could.

They didn't seem to buy it though.

"'What kiss'? You said earlier." Scarlet imitated me. "There was another kiss, was there?"

There's no escape in these two, are there?

Tish gasped and exclaimed once again, "you kissed again didn't ya'? Was it still on the cheek?"

I must've been so red that they didn't wait for my confirmation but instead, they jumped into their feet and went dashing downstairs before I could even stop them.

Crap.

They're going to shout it to the world now, are they?

I was still at the stairs when Tish already told them what.

I saw their jaws drop as they punched Toni altogether and when they noticed me, all of them came running after me.

Oh crap.

I ran as fast as I could back into our room but Jake – being a runner beat me to it and trapped me.

He held me captive til the others caught up. He didn't let me go even though Toni threatened him that he'll cut his balls off.

When Jake noticed he was finally annoying Toni, he turned me and hugged me tight while saying, "I won't let go of her til you tell us the whole story of your make out session."

"Get your hands off her!" Toni yelled.

"Look who's the jealous boyfiee now huh?" Jake wiggled me in his hug, clearly he enjoy annoying Toni. The others just laughed and sat down at our bed, enjoying the view.

I struggled at Jake's firm hug but it was useless. "Let. Me. Go. Jake!" I said between breath.

"She said let go!" Toni said, clearly annoyed. He looked like he's going to launch at Jake any moment.
