Algebra was nothing special beside from the fact that Toni – scratch that – Dash invited me to the ball after the class.
It was a beautiful windy morning. Ms. Johnson lectured us normally and nothing out of the blue happened. But when she dismissed us, that's when Dash Toni went at the center front of the room, knelt in one knee and shouted, "Aaiana Midori Reynolds, this sizzling hot guy speaking had fell hopelessly in love with you, so may you grant me the privilege to go to the ball with you?"
My eyes widened and my jaw dropped that I have to cover my mouth or else insects might mistake it as their lodging.
I mouthed "What the?" at him and I saw him grin.
I motioned him to stand up but he didn't budge. The students who already exited went back and I swear there were more than fifty people gaping at us.
"I won't budge til you give me an answer young lady."
I ran to him and pulled him up but he was too strong.
"Get. Up." I pulled him but he didn't even move.
He grinned at me and said, "I'm waiting for an answer."
I sighed, "Alright I'll go to the ball with you young man."
His smile widened but he didn't stand up. "What now?" I asked.
"Kiss me."
I pulled my hair with my two hands and threw my deadly stare at him, "Are you crazy?"
"Yes I'm crazy. Crazy for you."
Oh my donuts. I mentally threw up. I love him but cheesy lines aren't for him. Ughh. Punch lines makes my stomach turn upside down. They're just soooooo yucky.
"Can you just stand up and let's talk somewhere else? Huh?" I pleaded since my deadly stare clearly does not have an effect on him.
He shook his head while his smile was still plastered on his face. "Kiss me." He repeated.
"No." I answered hard.
"Kiss him!"
"Get it over with, kiss him!"
I heard people on the crowd say.
Oh my jolly freaking Pringles.
I bit my lower lip because I was so embarrassed. How could Dash do this to me?
"I can wait until the school close but I won't move an inch in here until you ki---."
I crouched down at his head level and kissed him. He immediately returned it but when I pulled away as soon as I started it he grunted and he placed his hand at the back of my head and pulled me closer to him again.
He didn't let go of me and I let out a disgruntled protest for him to stop but he didn't seem to care about the people staring and clapping at us.
"Get a room!" I heard a familiar voice shout.
I heard cheering and shouting that I guess were from the gang --- what the heck were they doing in there anyways? --- so I struggled to pull away but Toni's so hard headed he bit my lower lip to prevent me while his hand was still at the back of my head.
Never in my life had I expected myself to do what I did.
I placed my hand at the back of his head to pull him closer then I placed the other at his shirt tugging him up so he would stand. When we were already standing I figured he still doesn't want to let go so I pushed him back to the whiteboard but he dragged me with him – he's so stubborn I know! – then I placed my arms around his neck to pull him down then I bit his lip, hard.
