Do you ever wonder why you have the worst luck?

No?

Well, I think about that everyday.

Today I started to actually see things go up hill for once..

Big mistake.

Earlier that day

"The key to forgiving each other is to forgive ourselves first," Mr. Matthews says as he walks around the classroom.

I instantly think of Riley and sigh. It has been a while since Riley and I have been friends and I miss her a lot. Ever since she saw me with Lucas everything has changed. It wasn't even a good reason to get mad at me for, but I don't know maybe there was more to it.

Wait..

Maybe there was more to it..

"More to what?" Mr. Matthews breaks my train of thought.

"Uh what?"I question and look up at him.

I hear a few chuckles around me and I knit my eyebrows together.

"You said that there was more to it. More to what?" He raises an eyebrow at me.

"Did I say that out loud?" I ask and he nods.

I smile sheepishly and Mr. Matthews sighs and goes back to his forgiveness lesson.

Pretty soon the bell rings signaling that I only have a little more to go until I can leave this prison. I walk out of the classroom to find Farkle and Lucas standing there waiting..with Riley.

"What going on here?" I try to keep my cool as Riley snaps her gaze to mine.

"Listening to Matthews lesson made us finally come to our senses," Farkle replies and pushes Riley forward.

"You two need to fix this and end this once and for all. I may not have been here for too long, but even I could tell that you two are friends. Best friends!" Lucas added.

"Were best friends," I mumble and sigh.

Lucas and Farkle both mutter something to each other before they pick us up and set us down in Matthews' classroom. Mr. Matthews looks at us in shock and amusement.

"What are-" He begins.

"Get out," Farkle says and I gasp.

"What?" Matthews asks and looks confused.

"I said get out," Farkle repeats louder.

"Yeah..okay," He throws his hands up in surrender and walks out of the room.

Instantly, I dart for the door but Lucas blocks my path.

"Man, Huckleberry," I roll my eyes and raise an eyebrow at him.

"Maya, I know you," He replies and I try not to focus on what he said.

Sighing, I walk back to where I was before and look at Farkle. Farkle and Lucas exchange looks before sighing as well.

"Riley, you haven't spoken a word..why?" Lucas questions.
