Recap:I walk to my room and throw my bag in my chair. Laying down I look at my ceiling and doze off. Just as I am about to fully close my eyes there is a knock on my window.
Getting up I walk over to the window and see....
---------------
"Lucas what are doing here?" I question as I open my window.
"Howdy ma'am," he smiles and tips his imaginary hat.
"Cowboy why are you even here?" I ask again and roll my eyes.
"Oh well I thought I should make sure you are okay, since I never saw you after Art," Lucas replies and I nod.
"Uhm thanks, but how do you know I live here?" I raise my eye brow at him.
"Oh Riley told me where your neighborhood was, so I just came here and walked around knocking on people's apartments to see if you were there," Lucas explains and my lips form an 'O'.
Noticing that Lucas is probably uncomfortable just sitting outside my window I invite him in. Once he is in I close the window and sit on my bed, while he looks around my room.
"You didn't have to come..." I trail off and look at my hands.
"Of course I wanted to make sure everything was alright!" He nods.
"Well then everything is fine, cowboy," I sigh and he turns toward me.
Lucas makes his way over to me and sits on the bed beside me. We just sit in silence for a while as I wonder why would he even care. Probably just trying to impress Riley...
"Maya you there?" Lucas waves his hands in front of my face and I blink a couple times.
"Oh uhm yeah!" I respond quickly.
"Well then what did I say?" He smirks and I glare at him.
"Well uh you said something that had to do with Texas?" I say almost as a question.
"Nope, but now that you mention that-" Lucas chuckles and I cut him off.
"La-La-La-La- I can't here you!"
I put my hands over my ears and keep on singing that.He laughs and puts his head down and slowly shakes it. I put my hands down and giggle a little.
"Maya are you sure that everything is fine?" He asks again and I sigh.
I look at him then at the floor then at my hands. Can I trust this cowboy?
Maybe...wait! What am I thinking? He is just going to use this against me, so he can win. No, I will not let him get to me!"Uhm yeah! You should go," I nod and push him toward my window.
He gives me a confused look and I could see the hurt in his eyes. Wait hurt? No it's just my imagination!
Yeah..."But-" Lucas begins, but I am to busy trying to push him out, so he stops.
Opening my window I point to it, so he knows that he needs to leave now.
I just can't trust him and I don't plan on to anytime soon!Once he is out the window he sighs and looks at his hands," Bye Maya."
"Bye cowboy," I whisper as he walks away.
Sighing I lay down on my bed and just think. Maybe for minutes or hours but all I know is that I am thinking. Why would he care? Are we even friends?
Riley probably sent him anyway.Looking at my clock I see that it says 9:30 and gasp. How long was cowboy over?
I get up and change into my pajamas, then I brush my teeth. Looking in the mirror I see a lost girl, but others see me. That me isn't real, but to them it is.
