Chapter 24

*Ellie's POV*

I looked up at Beau, who was holding me in his arms and protecting me from the rain. "I...I need to tell you something." I spoke just loud enough to hear over the rain. Beau looked down at me with worry in his eyes. I untangled myself from his arms and I looked over at the empty mall. "Remember the night that we went to the club...and you went home with Aly?" I asked him. He nodded his head, not sure of where the conversation was going. I took a deep breathe. "Well, I didn't go home alone either. I umm...." More tears started to form in my eyes as I stumbled to find the right words. "I slept with Skip." I finally blurted out. I clicked my heels of my converse together and looked at the bottom of my wet dress to avoid eye contact with Beau. The two of us just sat in silence with nothing but the rain around us. "Please say something." I finally whispered to Beau. He jumped up. I could see the hurt in his eyes. "What do you want me to say, Ellie?! How would you like to respond to my fiancé telling me,on the day of our wedding, that she slept with my best friend? Huh Ellie? What do you want me to say?!" He was yelling now and I started choking on my tears. I stood up so that I was now standing in front of Beau. "I don't know and I'm sorry! I'm really sorry! I didn't mean for this to happen like this. I...." "Save it El! I don't want to hear any of your bullshit!" He cut me off and shouted in my face as I continued to cry harder. "I can't believe you would actually do this me...and to Belle." He said as he started to walk off. "Oh, you mean like how you left me and Belle before she was even born?!" I shouted while his back was turned. He stopped momentarily before continuing to his car and driving away. He didn't look back at me. He just left. I was now alone again with nothing but myself and my horrible thoughts.

*Beau's POV*

I got in my car and started speeding away. I didn't know where I was going but I had to get away from here. How could she do this to me? Why would she wait so long to tell me? The questions running through my head distracted me and I didn't notice the three red light that I ran through until I was pulled over by a cop. "This day could not get any fucking better" I grumbled to myself while rolling down the window to talk to the cop who was now standing at car window. I handed him my license and in exchange he handed me a ticket.

After my confrontation with the cop, I continued speeding around. I didn't know where to go so i just pulled into the Starbucks parking lot. I slammed my hands on the top of the steering wheel and yelled. I couldn't hold my emotions in anymore. I started crying and yelling at the same time while sitting in my car. I started to calm down as the rain drops gently hit the outside of the car. I sat in silence until I received a text on my phone. I looked down at the lit up screen.

Message from Skip: "It was raining too hard and everything was getting wet so everyone went home. We're heading back to the apartment now. Did you find Ellie?"

I began to fill with more anger. This wasn't all Ellie's fault. Skip was a huge part of this too and that little cunt didn't tell me anything about it either. I sped off again in the direction of the apartment. I hoped Luke or Jai was there because without someone to hold me back I might kill Skip.
