*Ellie's POV*
I wandered around the outside of the mall in my soaked wedding dress as the rain continued to fall around me. So many feelings and emotions rushed through my body. Feelings of love and confusion.
I looked around the mall. No one was there. I glanced up at the tall building in front of me. I noticed a high, but reachable ledge and I began to climb up to it. As I climbed, my mind wandered.
My mind first thought of Beau. I loved Beau. I truly did but I screwed it all up. I always did. I wasn't good enough for him and he deserved someone better then me.
I then thought of Skip. Skip was my friend, for the most part, and I enjoyed talking to him but if it wasn't for that night then I wouldn't be in this situation.
I stood tall on the slippery ledge of the mall as I continued to think.
Belle. My beautiful daughter. She was so innocent and sweet. I loved her more then anything in this world and I would miss her dearly.
My vision became blurred with tears as I took a step closer to the end of the ledge. I noticed a car pull into the parking lot. "ELLIE!" I heard the sound of Beaus voice shout.
I took another small step closer to the end as my mind finally thought of Bryanna. Bryanna was my best friend and she had been through everything with me. She moved to Melbourne with me, was in the hospital with me when Beau left and helped so much with the wedding that didn't happen. My best friend was expecting a child. A beautiful new baby would be brought into this world and when a new baby is brought in, sometimes someone else must be brought out.
I stepped closer to the edge and glanced down at the hard concrete ground beneath me. I heard my name being called again by Beau who stood underneath the high up ledge.
"ELLIE! PLEASE COME DOWN HERE!" He shouted.
I blinked my eyes, causing a few tears to roll down my cheeks.
"Take care of Belle." I called before taking the final step from the ledge....
***FIVE YEARS LATER***
*Beau's POV*
I drove in the car with the faint sound of Belle humming in the back seat.
"Daddy, are we almost there?" Her quiet voice asked.
I brought the car to a stop and turned to face her.
"Yup." I nodded, giving her a light smile.
I exited the car and walked around to Belles side, opening the door for her. She hopped out of the car and held a pink rose in her hand. I took her other hand in mine as we walked up a large hill.
When we reached the top, I glanced over at Belle who looked down at the ground.
"Hi mommy." She whispered and crouched down on the ground, gently placing the rose on the damp grass in front of Ellie's grave.
"Tomorrow's my birthday. I'm going to be 10!" She said with a cheerful smile before it faded away. "I wish you could be here for my birthday." She said while looking down at her shoes.
I put my arm around Belles shoulder and squeezed her gently.
"Look Belles, butterflies." I said pointing the opposite direction, trying to sound excited. Belle smiled before running towards the butterflies that flew around a tree.
I took a deep breathe and stood in front of the grave.
"She looks more like you everyday." I say with a half smile. "She really misses you." I whisper, trying to hold back my tears. "She always wants me to do her hair but I can never quite do it look you did." I chuckled a bit. "Bryanna misses you a lot also." I say. "She was going to come and visit you today but Liam had his first baseball game."
I continued to tell her all about Bryanna and Skips son, Liam and how Belle was a great helper with him. I also told Ellie how Jai proposed to Lauren and she said yes. I couldn't help but picture her beautiful smile.
"I miss you the most though, El. I miss everything about you. I miss your light blonde hair. I miss your bright green eyes. I miss your smell of vanilla. I miss the way you used to cuddle with me when we were sleeping. I miss....you." I sighed, no longer able to hold back my tears.
"I love you so much El and I just wish you were here with me."
I heard the crunching of grass behind me. I turned around and saw Belle standing behind me. She was looking up at the bright blue sky.
"Look Daddy!" She cheered and ran up next to me, pointing up at the sky. I looked up to see a beautiful rainbow. "It's mommy! She's here with us!" She said while jumping up and down.
My eyes continued to be blurred by tears. "Yes, Belles. It's mommy." I smiled and pulled Belle into a hug. "I was wrong, She's with us... She's always with us." I whispered.
