HEY GUYS! :D My name's Chase and this is my first EVER romance book! EEK! :P I really hope that you all enjoy it as much as I did writing it. This story is very important to me, almost like my getaway to an imaginary world. I've spent a HELL lot of time of it, so please take some time to read it! :)

I looked at myself in the mirror, as if I could see into my own soul. With the worries and fears of the coming day swirling around my head, as always. I softly combed my already straightened brown hair until it seemed completely fuzz-less. I seriously hated fuzzy hair. I moved up a bit closer to check that my make-up looked okay, that my mascara wasn’t too noticeable. Looking cheap on the first day of school is probably not the best first impression.
I quickly checked that my new uniform looked fine, that my tie was done up right and my skirt sat where it was supposed to. Even though I felt like ripping the whole thing off and wearing my sports uniform, I guess I just had to put up with it. Mum beeped at me angrily, obviously already waiting outside in the car “For crying out loud!” I shouted to myself angrily, so stressed. I hurriedly grabbed my toothbrush, squeezed some toothpaste on and brushed my teeth as fast as I could. I then checked myself one more in the mirror and glanced at the mess I had made in the bathroom. Mum beeped at me again “Oh my god! I’m coming!” I shouted in a panic once more. I was probably going to miss the bus.
I stepped onto the bus, flustered and embarrassed. Running after a bus with a bag full of books is not one of my areas of expertise. As I stepped on, I received many unsettling stares. Definitely not a good way to start the day. I’ve always hated the first day of school though. Especially when it’s the first day of a new school and you’re in Year 10. Everything feels so new and horrible. All the other people in my grade are already used to it and probably already belong to their own groups and cliques, yeah those stupid things. I had a few good friends at my old school in Sydney but I unfortunately had to leave them behind and move to Adelaide, due to my Dad’s work. And if you didn’t already work it out, I’m quite independent. I like to look at myself as different from others, I only do my own thing. But maybe I thought, just maybe, I can find a couple of good friend’s in this hell hole…
The bus finally came to a halt and my stomach flipped, I knew we were here. Getting out of the bus I almost tripped on the steps and face-planted it on the parking lot. Real smooth. Can this day get any better? I cautiously stepped through the gates of my new high school. I stood there for a minute to check out my new surroundings. There were many transportable classes, a couple of two stories buildings, there was also many trees and lots of grass. The environment looked to be a lot nicer than that of my old school. Well, I did go to a city school back in Sydney, so that’s probably why.
I looked to my right and of course, leaning against the tall green fence looked like a group of ‘popular’ girls. Or sheep, I like to call them, flirting with a few of the jocks, or air-heads, whatever you prefer. I laughed to myself. Can people these days get any more shallow? I decided to keep walking, many people passed me. A few nerds, a group of emo’s, a couple of normal looking people, another flock of sheep. Oh. My. God. I stood frozen. My heart had just melted.
