**SYLVIA'S P.O.V.**

As soon as the bell went I quickly headed off to my next class, physical education. I just couldn’t get over how incredibly boring Religion was. The lesson felt like it dragged on forever, and I just couldn’t help but think something else. What am I going say to Tre tonight? What time am I even going to ring him? I hoped that it would all work out, I guess I was a bit of a worrier when it came to stuff like that. It would be the first time that I would ring a number that I was given by an attractive guy. I continued to walk to my PE class, I guessed that we would be doing theory today, considering it was only the first lesson. I continued walking looking around for the classroom, G4. I knew I was in the right area as this was the where my English class was. I thought I found the right classroom and I lined up with what looked like my fellow peers, I had a look around, hopefully seeing someone I knew. Suddenly I saw a red haired girl in the middle of the line. It was Pepper! Thank god I have a friend in this class. I looked at the person beside her, it was Ryan. I walked up to them. ‘This is P.E. right?’ I asked. Pepper looked surprised to see me.

‘Aha yeah, fancy seeing you here Sylvia!’ Ryan smiled.

‘I’m just glad I have some people I know in this class! The people in my Religion class, weren’t very friendly…’ I joked.

Suddenly a teacher popped his head out of the open door ‘Come in everyone!’

We all walked up the steps and into the class. Everyone seemed to rush with their friends to their seats, I stuck by Pepper and Ryan and grabbed a seat at the back, on the right. I looked around at the people in this class, the people I would be playing with and against. I started on the right. Nerd, dork, sporty, sporty, goody, jerk, jerk, skank, sheep, sporty, sporty… Some of the people in the class had also been in my others, so I wasn’t that surprised to see them. I looked around a bit more and spotted a few good looking guys. Great, I’m probably going to end up completely humiliating myself in front of them… a bit like what happened with Tre. Hehe, Tre… Suddenly my train if thought was interrupted.

‘Hi, everyone I’m Mister Sharp!’ said the P.E. teacher. I looked him up and down. Wow, he is buff…

For the rest of the lesson we were shown and had to read the behaviour rules for the class. This was now the 5th time I had read it that day, I swear I was going to go crazy. Mr Sharp then told us all the sports we would be doing for the rest of the year, all sixteen of them. Pepper, Ryan and I had a good chat about our classes and teachers that we had that day. Ryan told me all the do’s and don’ts too, which he thought, I would find very helpful. Then after the long lecture about participation, the bell finally went. I just couldn’t believe it, I had made it through the whole day without getting killed, well, hypothetically anyway. As soon as I stepped out the class door with the rest of my fast moving classmates I remembered about the bus. I said a quick goodbye to Pepper and Ryan and ran off to my locker. I did not want to almost miss the bus again, or this time completely miss it. I was relieved when I got to my locker, the impatient Year 8 wasn’t there just yet. I undid my lock and grabbed out my bag, I almost began to grab some books, then I remembered I didn’t actually have any homework. I shut my locker and walked quickly down the path until I got to the bus pickup area, e.g. the front gates where I had arrived. As I was walking I looked frantically around for my bus in the bus pickup zone. I remembered it was number 20 and spotted it soon enough. I passed very few people on my way to it’s steps, I was obviously really early. I looked at the bus driver as I hopped on and yep, it was the one from this morning. I showed him my bus pass and he noded. He looks pretty grumpy, but then again, most bus drivers are. I walked down the aisle until I chose a good spot close to the front on the right. I sat down and moved as close to the window as I could putting my bag on the other side. I normally did this so no one else would sit next to me.

For the next ten minutes I watched as heaps of people piled onto the bus, one after another. I just prayed that I would end up sitting by myself for the ride home. The bus was pretty much packed in no time and the bus driver started up the engine. I looked out the window as we began to slowly move out of the bus zone and out onto the road. Suddenly I heard banging on the closed door of the bus, I looked around. There was a girl with long blonde ponytail frantically banging on it, I remembered her from my English class. I looked at the other people on the bus, a few were laughing. Poor girl… I didn’t find it funny after having to go through the same thing earlier. The bus driver then slowly braked and opened the door. She hurried up the steps and said thank you to the bus driver, still a bit out of breath. She began to head down the aisle, I looked around once more. There weren’t any spare seats. Great… I pulled my bag off of the seat and shoved it in between my legs and the seat in front. She saw me do it and smiled at me as she sat down beside me. ‘Thank you so much.’ she almost whispered with her soft voice.

‘That’s ok.’ I smiled back. I really hope this ride isn’t going to get too awkward…

She then squished her bag down to the same position as mine and turned to face me. I looked at her. She had bright blue eyes and freckles, she was actually quite pretty. ‘You’re the new girl in my English class right?’

‘Uh, yeah.’ I was surprised that she remembered me, on the other hand, I was kind of getting sick of the ‘new girl’ business.

‘I’m Erin’ She smiled.

‘Sylvia’ I smiled back

‘So, how do you find Maronville High?’

‘Well, it’s ok.’ I replied ‘I mean, it’s just so big and there’s so many people...’

‘Yeah, I know what you mean. I only came here last year. It took me a while to get used to it.’ She explained.

‘I honestly don’t think I ever will.’ I said honestly.

‘You will, trust me. I thought exactly the same thing on my first day.’

‘Yeah, I just hope your right’ I laughed, making light of the situation.

**TRE'S P.O.V.**

I hastily pulled my bag out of my locker. For the first time I actually wanted to get to training as soon as possible. Probably because I wanted to get it out the way so I could call Sylvia. I shut my lock and pulled my bag onto one shoulder and began to walk down the path to the student car park. As I was walking to the park I said good bye to a few of my mates. I walked past Christina and she must’ve noticed me. ‘Bye Tre!’ She yelled. I completely ignored her, there was no way in the world that I was going to talk that bitch again, especially after what she said to Sylvia. Finally I arrived in the parking lot, the grey, ugly parking lot that I had seen so many times before. I headed towards my normal spot and recognised my red sports car, thankfully still there. I pulled the keys out of the front pocket of my bag as I walked towards it, unlocking it only a few metres away. ‘C’ya Tre!’ Hayden called out to me.

‘C’ya at training tonight!’ I yelled back as I opened the back of my car, chucked in my bag in and shut it again. I ran my fingers across the surface of the shiny red paint as I walked towards the driver’s side door. Man I love this car! Saving for all those years really did pay off!

I opened the door and slid into the comfy black leather seat that had astounded me when I first sat in it. I shut the door and put the keys into the ignition, starting the car. I slowly reversed and made sure I didn’t hit any of my friends purposely goofing around behind me. They moved out of the way and I turned the vehicle out of the park and headed towards the gate. Well the line up at the gate anyway. As I waited I began to think of the day that had just past me so fast. I just couldn’t help but think how well it went. I met a beautiful, smart girl, who I didn’t even expect to meet when I walked into the school with my mates this morning. I expected the day to be okay. You know, make it through the boring first lessons, catch up at the usual spot with my mates and maybe even play some basketball. But the day ended up being extremely better than that, I met an amazing girl called Sylvia.
