"Yeah, I understand what you mean. But maybe he's not playing around anymore you know he said he loves me" I blurted out. "Maybe you're right" Jenny said as she smiled "....maybe you're wrong" her smile changed into a slight frown.
"I don't know. He just... He's just a pure gentleman. You know last night I met his friend, her names clarie an-" Jenny cut me off "You met clarie?" her eyes widened. "Yeah why? You know her?" I asked. "Yeah I know her I mean in fact everyone who knows James knows her. She's been his on and off lover, they both work in the movie industry I don't think they ever officially said they were together but everyone knows" She said. "Oh yeah, he told me she is his ex and that now they're good friends" I replied. "Oh, James told you that? That's good. I mean he's not hiding anything from you. Maybe he really does love you after all" She said smiling. I just nodded, as I returned the smile.
I didn't tell Jenny about that I thought that Clarie still had feelings for James and that even though James never said to me but it seemed as if he too had feelings for her. "Whats wrong?? You're spacing out! Somethings wrong!" Jenny screamed in my ear as I came back in my senses. "Oh sorry I was just thinking" "Thinking about what?" she questioned "Nothing" I simply replied. "Tell me now Landla Ellen!" Her tone raising. "It's nothing" I still didn't wanted to tell. "If you don't tell me, I'll stab you with this knife" She said as she picked up the butter knife from the table. "Yes, don't forget to put butter on it and then stab me" I chuckled. "C'mon tell!" she said sounding as if she was dying. "Okay" I said. "Well..okay what?" She questioned again. "Okay so...I met Clarie last night and as she was standing with me I felt like I don't know...she's so pretty you know and why would James date me for her...and I don't know I just feel like they both still have feelings for each other" I confessed. "Oh my God! I know this feeling! It's jealously!" Jenny said emphasizing on the word jealously. "Yeah maybe I don't know maybe it'll get better by time" I replied back. "Yeah its okay I'm here for you. Don't worry love. He's with you and if he liked Clarie then obviously he would be with her I mean he wouldn't leave her. I'm here and I will stab him with his knife if he loves another woman" Jenny said picking up the butter knife again. We both started laughing.
After talking about everything that happened to us since the last time we met. Jenny took out her car keys. "Okay I only have 2 holidays and we can't stay inside for long. I need fresh air. Go get dressed we're going" "where?" I asked her. "I don't know you know I haven't been with Liam since forever. It's been ages. Where is he?" She questioned me out of nowhere. "I don't know, call him? Oh wait no! Why don't we three go for a hangout!" I asked screaming in excitement. "Oh my God! Yes!" She screamed back. "Okay okay go get dressed and I'll call him" I nodded and went up stairs. The best thing about Jenny was that she was always there for me and she knew Liam like I knew and Liam used to provide all our tour outfits and we occasionally hung out too if we were in the same country at the same time. Since I was in London since months and Liam just came from Paris a while back and Jenny was going to leave for tour, I thought we were all in London and the opportunity could not be missed. Liam was my best friend and so was Jenny. These two were my only best friends in the whole industry. Of course I knew a lot of people but I just knew who they were by names, acts. For these two, I knew them by heart. It was always amazing to hang out, just us three. Knowing we could be ourselves around each other and knowing there were no secrets.
I got dressed and went down stairs, wearing a brown coat, brown skinnies and brown boots. I was channeling my inner brown was my simple reply to Jenny as she stared at me in disbelief of my dressing. I wasnt going back to get dressed again.
"I called Liam he said he's going to meet us at his boutique and then we three can go whenever we want from there" She said unlocking the door. I didn't reply and got in the car. The first thing I did was increase the volume of the radio. We both listened to the radio and all of the sudden, Jenny's own song came on the radio. "Oh my God!" we both exclaimed at the same moment and turned up the radio and started singing along as loud as we could which explained the reason why people were staring at us as if we came from planet Mars.
Jenny stopped the car in front of Liam's boutique and we both got out, fixing my coat, I started walking and pushed the door as Jenny walked in behind me. "Liam!" we both shouted smiling at him. "Lana, Jenny" he shouted back. We all met eachother and were beaming from ear to ear as we looked at each other. After a few moments of getting lost in my happy thoughts, I realized that we actually screamed in a store where people were shopping and we looked like idiots but that wasn't reason enough for me to get sad over it or even lose an ounce of my happiness, with these two by my side I always felt like I had the world supporting me and telling me I'll do just fine. They were my everything. There wasn't really anyone of family left to look out for. They really were my everything.
