Chapter 27: The Necklace
Trevor POV
Biglang nag-ring ang cellphone ko kaya naman nagpaalam muna ako't umalis, I fished the phone in my pocket when I was on the terrace of the reception hall and answered the call without bothering to look at the caller ID.
"Trevor!"
I frowned upon hearing Clare's voice, "bakit ka tumawag?"
"Hindi ba date kita? Asan ka na? Nagsimula na ang auction dance!" Histerikal na hiyaw ni Clare sa kabilang linya dahilan upang kumunot ang aking noo.
"I don't remember agreeing to that." Asar na tugon ko.
I heard her loud sigh on the other line, "basta! Date kita! Asan ka ba, huh? Wala ako kaninang nag-bid ka, they told me na binili mo raw ang cheshire cat necklace worth five million, is that for me? Ang sweet mo naman baby-"
"Shut your mouth."
"Tch, asan ka ba?"
"None of your business."
"You're my business." Matigas na sagot niya, mariin kong pinikit ang aking mga mata at walang sabing tinapos ang tawag.
Napatingin ako sa gilid ko't nakita si Diana na seryosong nakatingin sa akin, the necklace I bought for her twinkled with the reflection of lights, it complimented her skin and matched with the dress, "bigla ka na lang umalis..." She mumbled as if eating her own words.
I smirked. "Na-miss mo ba agad ako?"
She rolled her eyes, "I just want to return the favor," she forced a smile to me and held her hand as if waiting for me to take it, "will you dance with me?"
Kasabay no'n ay ang pagtigil ng tugtog ng musika sa loob ng reception hall, biglang nawala ang pilit na ngiti ni Diana sa labi, the dance already ended...
She was about to take back her hand when I took it and placed it on my shoulder, nilapit ko ang agwat namin, "we can dance here." I whispered sabay tugtog ng isang romantic music sa cellphone ko, I placed my phone on the cement railings and locked her with my hands on her waist.
"Baka makita nila tay-"
"Then let them." I snarled, "we own the night, tonight, I want you for myself." We danced slowly, ramdam ko ang mabilis na pintig ng puso ko, it was magical yet dangerous at the same it, it feels like someone is pounding my heart so hard.
Kaming dalawa lang sa terrace ni Diana, we danced slowly in the open space, I locked our gazes and maintained eye contact, her purple eyes so intimate and those dark pupils seemed to enlarge as it stares at me.
"Had I ever told you that I like your eyes?"
Umiwas siya ng tingin.
Marahan akong tumawa, "you know that you're mine, right?" I teased.
She looked at me again and shot me a glare, "asa-"
I grabbed the moment and kissed her, suminghap siya, she was about to push me back but I encircled my hands around her waist trapping her, I grinded my lips on hers, I tasted the taint of lipstick and her natural sweetness that I always craved, she still didn't kiss me back and I took the challenge of it-my aggressive kiss became slow and passionate, in half a second, she kissed back.
Parehas kaming habol ang hininga noong tumigil kami sa paghalik, sinandal ko ang noo ko sa kanyang noo, "what does the kiss say?" I suddenly asked out of nowhere, "does the kiss say I like you?"

Diana POV
Nagpaalam na kami ni Trevor sa aming mga magulang, maaga kaming umalis sa auction party, hindi pa naman talaga tapos ang party, it's just that I suddenly felt tired because of the fast beats of my heart.
Sa buong biyahe ay pinaglalaruan ko ang cheshire cat pendant ng necklace ko, tahimik lang kami ni Trevor sa sasakyan, noong nasa mansion na kami ay agad akong lumabas at hindi na hinintay pa si Trevor na nag-park sa sasakyan sa garahe.
Kumuha ako ng shirt ni Trevor sa walk-in closet at underwears saka mabilis na pumunta sa banyo, I locked the door and undressed, hinayaan ko lang na magkalat ang bestida sa marmol na sahig habang ang kwintas naman ay nakasabit sa sabitan dapat ng belts, tinignan ko ang sarili ko sa salamin, I think it was really best to leave sooner.
My makeup was smudged, medyo lagpas na ang lipstick ko maybe because of the kiss, mabuti naman at hindi napansin ng mga magulang namin ni Trevor ito maybe because of the dim lights sa reception hall.
Agad akong naghilamos, natagalan ako sa pagtanggal ng makeup at stain sa mukha ko dahil kailangan kong siguraduhin na walang matitira, I never had pimples or acne in my entire life and I don't plan to have one any sooner.
I decided to take a cold shower, kahit na malamig ang panahon ay nang-iinit ang katawan ko dahil sa nangyari kanina, I closed my eyes and tried to focus on forgetting the kiss but failed. Even if my head forgets it, my heart won't.
Noong natapos na akong maligo'y nagbihis na ako, lumabas ako't nakita si Trevor na naka-boxer lang, nakahiga siya sa kama at ginawa niyang unan ang dalawang kamay niya, I fighted the urge to play with the hairs on his armpit.
Tumingin siya sa akin, "you're wearing my shirt again."
Tumango ako, "masanay ka na."
"Should I start wearing your clothes then?" He asked jokingly.
"Start with my undies." Binelatan ko siya, I guess Trevor knows what I'm thinking and putting it to life, it's better to act normal and act like nothing ever happened, the result will be less awkwardness and less tension.
My eyes landed on his toned chest, rippled abs, and that bulge on his boxer. Bigla ulit akong nang-init, gosh! Should I take another cold shower?
"Checking me out?" Trevor's right eyebrow raised in amusement as he sat on the bed and fisted his hands, his strained bicep flexed and became bigger. Lumunok ako. He was teasing me and he finds my reaction 'funny'.
Binaling ko ang nararamdaman ko't hindi na lang pinansin ang panunukso niya sa akin. "You're full of yourself!"
"She says."
I groaned in frustration and went on the other side of the bed, itutulog ko na lang ito. Masyado na rin akong pagod para makipagsagutan pa.
"Good night." He mumbled, "but before you sleep, pakikamot naman ang likod ko."
