Summer's POV:
2 weeks later - Christmas"Oh my god, no!"
"Christmas movies make me cry!" I yelled at the TV. Me and Aniqa are having a sleepover seeing as everyone's gone to Sabrina's and Musa's house for ages and I'm ill. Well, I'm lazy and I didn't want to go.It was 4pm and I'm pretty sure my parents are staying overnight and the others would go to Samiyaah's (my sister's).
"Let's go shopping." Aniqa said.
"Or we can play football." I said, hopefully.
"No. Just no." She said stubbornly. I sighed and shoved on a coat.
"Let's go, then!"After 2 hours, we came home. As I suspected, no-one was here. It was eerily silent. Now, it was 6 and it was getting dark. I turned the TV on and me and Aniqa began baking but it didn't stop the hairs on the back of my neck from standing up.
I felt like some-one was watching me. Eventually, me and Aniqa went to the guest room. We sat on the sofa next to the window and talked about our graduation- and more importantly, what comes after it.
*Knock, knock*
"I'll get it." I sat getting up from the sofa. I opened the door and saw no-one there.
"If you're playing knock-knock ginger, I'll knock you out!" I yelled."Summer, don't be rude, we must have been hearing things." Aniqa said trying to hide the panic in her voice.
*Knock, knock*"No, we're not." I said. The door was still open yet I couldn't see anyone.
"Oh my god, Summer, I think it's coming from the inside!" Said Aniqa, looking terrified.Aniqa has anxiety disorder and I didn't want her to have a panic attack.
"It's okay, Aniqa, you sit down and I'll check the other rooms, okay?" She nodded, still scared. I walked into all of the other rooms and there was nothing there."Aniqa, I've checked all the rooms and we're hearing thi-"
*KNOCK, KNOCK*
We both looked at each other amd gulped. Suddenly, the window we were sitting in front of us, flung open.We both screamed as a guy in a Ghostface Mask appeared. 2 guys in Ghostface masks! Before I knew what was happening, they climbed in and Aniqa gasped and fell to the floor. I punched the mask as hard as I could.
"Oww! Summer, I was going to say Merry Christmas!" said the figure behind the mask.
"Who are you? And why would you say Merry Christmas when we don't celebrate it and you're in Halloween costumes?"I heard laugh scoming from both guys.
"Ali-Nooh. And Arif. And we're special ok?"
Just then, I remembered Aniqa was still on the floor. SHE'D FAINTED. I was fuming."Idiots! She's fainted!" I yelled pushing them. Arif ran to her. He tried talking to her and even slapped her.
"Gentle!" I said sharply.
"Summer, I'm sorry, I didn't think you would mind. We just wanted to give you guys a scare! And I had no idea Aniqa would faint!" He said, his green eyes pleading."Why do you assume I'll be okay with everything?" I said softly with what I knew was a tinge of anger in mt voice.
"Because... you're cool..." he mumbled, kicking the carpet. I smiled as Aniqa woke up."You do realise we can't be this childish when we get married."
"Aww but Monkey why?" He said pouting.
"Because we will be mature adults."
"I love you." Ali said abruptly. I blinked. Should I say it back? He just said the three words. It's happened. What do I reply?
"Haraam."#Sumali is all I can say. Also, for those of you who don't know, knock-knock ginger is a game where people knock and people's doors and then run away. Also, scream outfits on the side. 300 reads, yay. Also, thank you to sabrinali369 for adding my book to her reading list. I appreciate the support I get when I'm just starting to write a book. Bye x
