Riley's POV
I gently rocked Nova back in forth in her room. We have been home for a month and so far it has been exhausting, but it's all worth it. She has the prettiest eyes and her cheeks are so chubby it's adorable. "You are so pretty baby girl." I gently brushed her hair out of her face. "Want to go wake up daddy?" She grabbed my finger and gave it a gentle squeeze. I smiled and carried her into our room. Colton was laying on his back. I laid Nova on her stomach on Colton. She raised her tiny fist up and swung it down right on Colton's nose. I covered my mouth to keep myself from laughing.
Colton opened his eyes and stared at Nova for a second. "You and your mom are little turds." He picked her up gently and blew a raspberry on her belly, causing her to smile a giggle. He set her down in his lap and looked over at me. "Good morning princess." He leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss on my lips. Nova stuck her hand in her mouth and drooled on it. "I'm going to go get her bottle." He gave me a lazy smile.
I walked out to the kitchen and grabbed my breast milk out of the fridge. I poured some in her bottle and placed it in the microwave to warm it up. I placed a drop on the outside of my hand to test if it was to hot. It was the perfect temperature. I twisted the lid on it and walked back into the room.
Colton laid her on her back and he was laying on his stomach next to her, while playing peek-a-boo. I laughed and walked over to them. "Do you want to feed her?" His eyes lit up and he nodded. "I love feeding her." He picked her up and cradled her. I handed him the bottle. He placed the bottle in her mouth which she took easily. I stared at Colton.
"I love you." He smiled. "I love you more."

Shane, Jake, Victoria, and Hector were coming over for the first time since Nova was born. I picked Nova up and out of her crib and held her so she was sitting in my arms, her back against my chest, and facing away from me so she could see everything. Colton was in the kitchen making spaghetti. I walked downstairs and heard a knock. Colton looked up and saw me. He blew me a kiss and gave me a smile before I opened the door.
I opened the door and let Shane and Victoria in. Shane gave me a side hug. "Congrats you little mommy you." He kissed the top of my head. Victoria gave me a hug. "Congrats. Love you." I smiled. Shane bent down so he was in front of Nova. "So this little cutie is my niece?" I smiled and nodded. I picked up her hand and made her wave. Shane smiled. "She is the cutest damn baby in the whole world."
I looked down at her. "Say yes I am Uncle Shane. Do you want to hold her?" He eagerly nodded. "I would love to hold this cutie." He lifted her into his arms, resting her on his hip.
He began dancing around the apartment with her. I laughed at my brother and daughter before walking into the kitchen where Victoria was. "I've missed my best friend." I told her and pulled her in a hug. "I missed you too. And damn, you lost your baby weight fast." Colton looked at us and smirked. "We've been doing cardio together at night." I lightly blushed. "T-that is not true." Colton walked over to me and kissed my cheek.
"Awe, you sound like your high school self again." Victoria threw her head back and laughed. "You totally did." Shane walked in with Nova. "Do you want to hold her Tori?" She nodded and took Nova out of his hands. She gently bounced her up and down. "Well aren't you just the cutest little thing." Colton walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, and rested his head on my shoulder.
"We did it princess. We have a family of our own." I turned around and faced him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and placed a soft kiss on his lips. "We've always been a family." He smiled. "You're right princess." He looked around me and nudged his head towards Victoria. I turned around and saw that she had placed an owl beanie on my daughters head. I lightly laughed at how adorable our little girl is.
There was another knock on the door. Shane answered it this time and welcomed in Jake and Hector. "Where's the baby? I need to meet my niece!" Jake gushed which caused Hector to chuckle. I walked over and hugged the two of them. "Alright, everything is ready. Grab some food." Colton announced. Slowly, each person got their own plate. I warmed up some milk for Nova and fed her. I gently sang to her as she drank from her bottle.
When she was finished, she let out a little yawn. I carried her upstairs and laid her down in her crib. I gently placed her down, making sure she didn't wake up. I laid a blanket over her to keep her warm before heading back downstairs.
Everyone was sitting in the living room. I walked over to Colton and sat down in his lap. He squeezed my waist gently. "She's sleeping?" He whispered in my ear. "Yeah. She went right to sleep after her bottle." He smiled and placed a kiss on my bare shoulder.
"So, Victoria and I were thinking about having a baby. Maybe within the next two years or so." A big smile spread across my face. "Then our kids can play together! They'll be the best cousins ever." Colton chuckled.
I looked at him. "Hmm?" He just shook his head. "Just reminds me of Corrie and Lou." I smiled at the thought of my little sister and brother. "I miss them." Colton nodded. "They'll have to visit soon, or we could go back home for a visit." I nodded. I really did miss them, and I wanted them to meet their niece.
I looked around the room at my loving, caring, weird, amazing family. We have all been together since high school and are now adults, having kids, with big careers, and bright eyes. I thought back to all the things we have been through and got teary eyed. Colton frowned and held my face in his hands. "What's wrong?" I shook my head. "Absolutely nothing, I'm beyond happy." He smiled. "And why is that?" I pointed to all of them.
"All of these people, you, and Nova, and everybody else in our family. That's why I'm happy. Even though we have been through thought times we bounced back. I'm living the life I have always wanted to live. All because I met you Colton. All your stupid remarks, your attitude, your cute face, and everything about you made me fall in love with you." I paused for a moment.
"I never thought I'd be living my life with a bad boy."
