-Two weeks later-

"Where are you going?" Kuza asked as I slipped my black Vans on.

"To my mom's," I said as Manny and Louie went towards the door. Louie is Manny's boyfriend, and he's pretty much just like my brother. I love that kid.

"Seriously?" Kuza asked. I grabbed my keys and nodded, walking towards the door.

"Are you gonna come or be here by yourself all day?" I asked. He sighed loudly then got up and we left.

I drove with Kuza in the passenger seat, and Manny and Louie in the back.

"Where are we really going?" Kuza asked once we were on the road.

"To my mom's house," I said, slightly annoyed. He chuckled.

"You were serious," He said. I nodded. "Is your mom horrible?"

"No! I love my mom."

We didn't talk for the rest of the ride and soon we pulled up into the driveway. Before we got out, I stopped Kuza.

"Be cautious, she's bipolar," I said. He nodded as if he understood and we went towards the house.

The house was a brownish red color. It was average size, I supposed. My mom felt it was useless for us to have a huge house when her and I were the only ones living there. Rose bushes covered the perimeter of the house. No roses had bloomed, it was much too cold.

I took the lead. I pulled the screen door towards the group and opened the front door slightly. Metallica's Black album was playing, more specifically 'Enter Sandman', and my mom was moving around swiftly.

"Mom," I called out to her, gaining her attention immediately. She smiled and I stepped in, the group following.

"Hi sweetheart," she said, wheeling the vacuum back to the closet where she stored it.

"God damn," Kuza said under his breath and I shot him a glare.

My mom was unique to say the least. Her arms were covered with tattoos and she definitely was no saint like most moms try to be. She always had jet black hair, ever since I can remember. She always wore colored contacts, one ice blue and one neon green. Never did she leave the house without her full makeup and eyebrows. She's the reason I drew mine on, and today was no exception.

She sported a black t-shirt that had a big star on it that was for the Dallas Cowboys. She had black slightly skinny jeans on and Doc Martins on.

My mom came and hugged me. Then Manny and Louie. She just looked at Kuza. "Oh hello. Kari, who's this?"

I smiled. "This is Kuza. Kuza, this is my mom Lita."

"Hello Kuza. I've heard that name. Let me think, let me think. You're in a band," she said matter of factly. She looked at me.

"Vampires Everywhere," I said. She nodded.

"Oh yes, mhmm, the Lost Boys," she said with a snicker. She went to the stereo and turned the music down. "Well come on in. Kari, don't stand in the way and be rude."

I grinned and walked over to the couch. My mom sat in her chair.

"So, what have you been up to lately? Are you still with Ky-blah-blah?" She asked.

"Kyran, mom, his name is Kyran. And nothing," I said.

I saw Kuza lean toward Manny and whisper, "Flirting and hanging out with another guy that she's in love with."

Manny snickered and I shot them a glare.

"Really? Who would this other guy be?" My mom asked. I put my face in my hand.

"He's lying," I said right at Manny yelled, "Chris Motionless!"

"Chris Motionless? Is he that really good looking one with the eyebrows?" My mom asked. Manny nodded with a grin on her face. "Oh my. If I got my hands on him-"

"Mom!" I cut her off. Everyone started laughing besides me and her. She was smiling.

"What? He's hot," she said and I put my head in my hands again.

"That's so weird," I said, almost embarrassed.

Manny was still giggling when she looked at me. "This is why I love your mom."

"Oh, Manny, you know I'm just like your mom, too," my mom said, still grinning. I just sat there in disbelief.

We hung out for the rest of the day and finally we left. It was a pretty good time. Even though it was extremely weird to hear my mom say that about Chris, it was pretty funny.

We soon pulled into the parking lot in front of the apartment. Kuza was still snickering every now and then about what my mom said. My phone vibrated right as we walked through the door.

Chris: Hey, we just got off stage. Wanna video chat?

I grinned and simply replied: Of course.

I quickly grabbed a bottle of Naked juice and ran to my room. Thank god I didn't turn my laptop off. I plugged it in to charge while we talked and waited for the message to pop up. Finally, a little window came up and said: Chris(: wants to chat with you. I accepted it and another window popped up and Chris was sitting there, yelling at someone that wash standing in front of him. I grinned as he kept talking and waited patiently.

Finally he said, "I'm supposed to be video chatting with Kari." Then a pause. "Yeah the one from Halloween."

I then heard TJ say, "Is that the hot one? With the huge boobs?"

"Yeah," Chris said with a grin and I couldn't help but laugh. His head shot over and his eyes were on the screen. "Hey. Uhh- how much did you hear?"

"Hello," I said, still grinning. "Apparently TJ thinks I'm hot and I have big boobs."

Chris looked almost guilty and stood up, walking away from the guys into a dark room.

"Hold on," he said, setting the laptop down for a few seconds then picking it back up. I saw the bunks when the lights came on. "Okay. So, hello gorgeous."

He grinned and I smiled. He always said that to me when we talked.

"Hello," I repeated. "How was the show?"

"Good. Those kids are crazy, though," he chuckled. I smiled. I loved hearing him laugh. It was almost as amazing as his singing. "What did you do today?"

Oh here we go, I thought to myself.

I just had to put a gif of Chris smiling. It's so perfect.(:
