"I have to go," Chris said, walking towards the door. I wiped a tear from my cheek. He smiled at me sadly and pulled me into his arms. "I'll text you right when we leave."
"It's still not you," I said, burying my face into the crook of his neck.
"I know," he said softly, his arms wrapping around me. We stayed like that for a few moments until he started to pull away.
I didn't want him to leave. I wanted him to stay here. With me. Forever.
He put a hand on me cheek and kissed me softly. My knees went weak slightly. He pulled away and walked towards the door. He was about to say goodbye when I snaked my arms around him one more time and kissed him. After a minute he pulled away and opened the door.
"I really have to go now," he said. I nodded, feeling another tear fall from my eye.
He kissed me one more time and walked out the door, but not before saying, "Bye baby."
Then, he was gone, and I had nothing other to do then cry. Hard. Butterflies were in my stomach from him calling me baby. It was the first time.
This sucked. Why did he have to go and leave me? He had only just left and I missed him already. My heart yearned for him already. My lips were still warm from his and I looked out the window to see him leave.
My phone began to ring, City Lights playing from the speaker. I tapped 'Read Now', not bothering to see who it was from.
Chris: I told you I'd text you.(:
A small smile spread across my lips.
Me: I believed you. I miss you already.<3
Chris: I know. I miss you too baby.
That's when I realized it. I'm in love with him. Shit.
