Chapter 19

Once I got home I told my mom and dad everything. I was wrapped in warm hugs and comfort. We all sit drinking hot chocolate and hugging. Rhys came in panting. He looked dirty and had starches all over him. His face showed relief when he saw me.

"Alexia I'm so sorry. I should have been at school to protect you." He got on his knees looking at me with hurt eyes. "Please forgive me. I was coming to get you but the patrol said they captured one if the vampires and he was saying that you were go as dead. I had to go check it out." He bowed his head. I blushed and sank deeper in the couch.

"Don't forgive him." Justin growls. But I saw that he was joking in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. I'll do anything." Rhys whimpered and my heart broke a little. I growled at Justin.

"Don't do that." I glare. My dad takes my hot chocolate. I hug Rhys tightly. He reruns it immediately.

"I'm so so sorry my love." He whispered kissing my face.

"Let's give them some space." My mom said.

"No." My father and Justin say at the same time.

"Thank you Mrs. Michaels but I'll take Alexia upstairs." And just like that I'm lifted in Rhys arms. My father growls as Rhys takes me upstairs. The door was softly locked closed behind us.

"He said to tell you he will be back and he will take me back." I whispered.

"Are you hurt?" He asked putting me down. I shook my head no. He ran his hand through my hair. "We can mind link. Your mark helps us become closer. I can read your thoughts and speak to you kinda like telepathy. I try to give you a little privacy so I don't always read your mind because of this you are going to have to talk to me when something is going wrong." He says. I look away.

"I'm not a wolf." I said.

"Yes you are. Humans can't hear there mates in there head while you can. Plus your wolf is already starting to claim her territory. Like this morning when you growled at my dad. Your wolf was showing she didn't like my father growling at her mate." Rhys explained. I blushed. I did do that earlier and few minutes ago. "Your wolf is showing she's there. She's just weak from being cooped up in the back of your mind." He kissed my head.

"I forgive you by the way." I look up at him.

"Thank you. He won't take you ever again Alexia. I'll protect you." He whispers. "Sleep now." He helps me into bed.

"Where are you going?" I asked as he walked toward the door.

"Living room." He says.

"Can you sleep with me?" I asked.

"Yes of course." He takes off his shirt and gets in with me. He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer. I laid on his chest. "Goodnight." He whispers kissing my head after a few minutes of silence.

"Good night." I said.

Rhys P.O.V

Did I sleep? Of course not. There's a vampire who wants my mate and I have to make sure she's safe from all the other blood suckers while having to kill her kidnaper. The worst part is he's the vampire prince. This breaks our peace with them. Alexia's wolf is starting to get out. Soon Alexia would be able to shift.

Hopefully I can just kill him and be done. He's the prince though. I wouldn't be surprised if he would had planned a war. Alexia growled and her eyes snapped open. I smiled at her wolf's glowing light blue eyes.

"Sleep." I whisper. My wolf tries to take control to speak to his mate. Her eyes close again. My wolf growls angrily at me in my head. I ignore him and hold Alexia. "Protect alexia." I tell her wolf in my alpha tone. I know her wolf herd me and she wouldn't dare disobey me.
