Alexia P.O.V

"You're not going to eat ?" Seth asked me. He stared at me waiting for a response.

"No." I said. He sighs and drinks the red liquid in his glass. It was blood. Most likely was blood.

"You have to eat something." He said waving a maid over. "I know you don't want to be here right now.." he starts.

"Then why am I still here?" I cut him off. He gives the lady his glass.

"Because Alex I need to have you to myself. I can't watch from afar anymore. I want you. And even if you run or get back to your old home I'll be there to bring you back." He said taking my hand. "Where you belong." Seth kissed my hand. I got up and walked towards the door. I felt his hands before I could process his face. "Where are you going?" He asked.

"Away from you." I moved around him went up the stairs going back the way we came before. All the doors looked the same. I sent a quick prayer to the moon goddesses that this room wasn't gonna have dead people in it. I opened it and all the people's faces stared at me. They showed their fangs making it very clear I wasn't welcome. I shut the door and opened a new one quickly hiding under the large desk that was in there. I heard the door open again and footsteps coming towards me. Why did I always get myself stuck in these situations?

Rhys P.O.V

No. No no no no. She's gone. She's gone and everyone is so calm. MY MATE IS GONE. I stood up and Philip held me down.

"Do you need me to get the nurse again ?" My father asked. I growled at him and sat back down. We were at the meeting hall. At the table there was Alexia's parents, Justin, my parents and two elders.

I have already been out for a day because they stabbed me with a needle. I don't want another day to be lost without my mate.

"Is anyone going to talk?" I snapped. Philip went back to his seat next to his mate. Justin was staring down looking at something under the table. "My mate is missing." I stood again my dad got up this time. Philip held his hand up telling him to wait.

"Who's fault is that?" He asked. I glared at him.

"Are you saying it's my fault?" I growled.

"I know Alexia. I know my daughter. I know she was uncomfortable leaving the house. You left her alone." He said staring at me and my glare softened. He was right.

"She said you shouldn't leave right?" Evan, the elder speaks. I sat down now.

"I believe it is you who should be talking." My father speaks now.

"It's not his fault. I was there. I should've protected her. She's my sister. It's my fault I should have been able to take them down. I shouldn't of have opened the door." Justin whispers but it sounds loud to my ears. It was my fault. Why didn't I just stay with her? Why did I leave when she asked me to stay ?

"That's way beyond your control Rhys. You can't understand why. Because there is no reason. Alexia had to go back. If it wasn't yesterday it would be today if not today tomorrow. They will not let her go. They want her as queen and they won't stop until they are satisfied." Alexia's mother speaks. Everyone stares at her.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Alexia isn't like every other wolf. Not only because of her being taken at a young age." Her mother starts.

"She's the one." The elder speaks. Alexis's mother nods.

"There has been a secret war going on for centuries between the vampires and werewolf. With the Alpha King and the Vampire King. We are the closest pack to the Royal Vampires. We have treaties every year with them renewing our word to not attack. This year the vampires haven't agreed to sign." Evan says and I nod. I knew this. That was going to be my first act of alpha. Renewing the contract with them.
