Saving Her

Chapter 28

The cells had a suffocating scent of death. I have slowly gotten use to the stench over the week. Yes I have been Luna for the whole week. The pack was already recovering greatly. The injured warriors were already back on there feet. But a few weren't so lucky two of them passed away. From what I've heard from family and friends they were full of life and pride for their pack. I can only hope Rhys recovers and fear his death.

"Luna." The guard bows. I nod walking past him. Justin stood waiting for me. We walk into the vampire's cell together. It took a lot of arguing to get him to let me come with him. We interrogate the vampire for information. Like are the vampires planning another war? Why was Anthony only after me?  What was the plan? He usually said nothing and just stared at the wall. Only answering one or two questions. If his silence got unbearable Justin or I let out our wolf.. Which never ended pretty. But we made sure to keep him alive and feed properly. Three meals a day and a nurse to check his injuries. Today the vampire said nothing. He only bothered to look at me.

"I'll take care of it." Justin said. I nod and leave the cell once the door closes I hear a loud scream from the man but I ignore it and walk back to the pack house. I was going to help out with training the pups and with dinner.

"Luna." Kat bowed.

"Katharine." I said. Her face formed disgust. I smirked.

"It's Kat." She says.

"It's Alexia." I stuck my tongue out at her. She laughs and walks with me outside.

"Luna." The children yelled running towards me hugging my thighs. I smile and hug them all in my arms. "Alright my little warriors in lines like we practiced." I whispered to them. They quickly ran to their places. Some parents and random pack members watching.

"10 jumping jacks." Kat says. I walk threw the lines and they smile brightly as they start training. Kat counts out loud. They honestly were terrible at staying together but they'll learn as they get older.

"10 push ups." I said getting on the ground with them. I count as they do there best push ups.

Once training was over the children run into the house to find their parents. Some continue to play outside. Kat and I go to the kitchen.

"Luna." Everyone greets. I smile and wash my hands.

"What needs to get done?" I asked.

"Cakes need to be in the oven and veggies need steaming." One of the house keepers told me. I nod and move to where the cakes are being made. By the time training ends almost half of dinner is already cooked. So there's not that much to do but helping out a little was enough for me. After dinner was done I take a to go container and walk to the hospital. This was my daily routine. Wake up, visit Rhys, go to pack, go to cells, train pups, help with dinner, visit Rhys again then go home. I would usually run in my wolf form but she is kinda weak today. Melissa said not being connected to her mate will make it harder for her. She would become distant and weak also that it was normal.

Once I got to the hospital it was mostly empty. The front desk nurse wasn't there. So I just helped myself to the elevator. Rhys' room looked normal. I pulled a chair up to the bed and popped open the container. As I ate the Doctor came in.

"Luna." He said shocked. I chewed my spaghetti and give him a dull look. He knew I would be here.

"Doctor." I nod at him. He looks at Rhys then smiles.

"He's healing wonderfully. His skin is regaining its color and sometimes he moves on his own." The doctor said. "Your visits help. He's most responsive when you're here." He continued. I look at Rhys as the doctor took some notes. "He should be awake in a couple of more days." He said.

"Thank you." I said. He smiles again before leaving closing the door softly behind him. I was hoping he'll say 'Rhys will be awake tomorrow.' I knew he wouldn't. That didn't mean I won't hope for it. I put the container on the table next to the bed and hugged Rhys. I breathed in his sent and I felt my wolf howl in pain. Before I knew it I was crying into Rhys' chest. Silent tears drenching his hospital gown. I let myself cry and relax into my mates chest.

I was in a hospital room. It didn't look like Rhys's room. Mostly because there was no Rhys in the bed and was trashed. A growl caught my attention I turn to see a black wolf. Rhys' wolf. I quickly walked over he growled again barring his teeth at me. I get down in my knees a few feet away from him. I summited being sure to show him my mark. His mark. Our mark. It was quiet for a few seconds. 

"Alexia." Rhys says. I looked up to see Rhys I jumped into his arms. He tighten his hold on me almost breaking every rib I had. I held him tighter as he kissed on my mark. I wondered if this was real life or just a dream. "Just a dream." Rhys answered my unspoken question loosening his grip on me.

"So you're not real?" I asked trying to get away from him or it.

"No it's me." He sat on the hospital bed. I relaxed and he ran his hand through my hair. Everything felt so real. The Sparks. His warmth.

"What happened in here?" I asked looking around. The room was trashed. The wallpaper coming off the walls with claw marks here and there. Shattered glass covering the floor. Broken table and chairs. He just looks away from me. I cup his face so he can look at me.

"My wolf got out of control. Alexia I've been with you the whole time. You're a great Luna and the pack loves you. I can feel their bond and love for you growing each day." He kisses my lips but quickly pulls away. "I'm so proud to have you as my mate. You're perfect." He smiles. The happiness in his eyes were clear.

"Thanks." A light blush covered my cheeks. He kisses them both.

"Just as I remembered. Most beautiful shade of pink." He teases me. I roll my eyes and lay on his chest. "It's time to wake up now." He says after running his hand threw my hair a few more times. I panic and hold onto him with all of my strength. "I love you." He says softly pulling me away do he can see my face.

"I love you too. I want to stay with you." I clenched on his shirt.

"What about the pack? Who would lead them?" He asked. I thought about it and he was right. The pack still needed me. "Don't worry I'll be back soon." He wipes the tears from my face before holding me tightly in his arms. "Just for a little bit more." He whispered..

So my excuse for missing 2 updates ? Umm I don't have one. I've just been kinda busy with things lately. Such as family and friends stuff, but I don't think it should have taken me 15 damn days to update.

Alright so if it wasn't obvious.. Rhys visited alexia in her dream. Let me know what you guys think. I'll update again.. Soon lol have a good weekend.
