Chapter 9

I stare at the school as Kat stares at me.

"What if he.." I start.

"There isn't a what if. Just find him and wish him good luck before the game." She takes my jacket and put it in the car.

"Ok ok. I can do this." I nod. We start walking and I run to the other side of the school as Kat screams after me. "Oh no." I pace.

"Alexia?" Rhys voice asked. I look up to meet his eyes. They stare back at me. They were dull and blank.

"H-Hi." I said.

"I thought you were ignoring me." He says. His voice was slightly harsher.

"Sorry I panicked." I whisper. He sighs.

"The game is going to start soon, I have to.." He starts. I pull him down and kiss him. He kissed back pulling me closer.

"Good luck." I said.

"Alexia. You could have kissed my cheek." He chuckles. I blush and he pulls me to the field. "You look beautiful by the way." He whispered. I feel my cheeks warm more. "There's my favorite color." He teases now.

"Rhys." I wine covering my face.

"Cheer me on ok?" He says as we get to the field.

"Ok." He kissed my cheek before going to the huddle with his team. The cheerleaders start shouting stuff. I see Kat kissing Blake on the field.

"Let's go." The cheerleaders finish off. Kat walks over to me. I nudge her and she blushes.

"I'll pretend I didn't see Rhys just run after you." She smirked. I shrugged and pulled her to the third from last bleacher. The game started and I watched 01 and 21. 21 was Justin and 01 was Rhys. Justin was the quarterback. As far as I can tell he was kicking butt.

"Go Justin." I yelled as he hit someone. Once he made the touchdown he looked toward me and waved. I waved back.

"That's your boyfriend?" A lady asked. I blushed.

"No that's my brother." I said. She nods probably not believing me but who cares?

Justin hugged me with his sweaty body.

"Omg ew." I shrieked.

"How did you like you first game?" He asked

"You did great. We won right?" I asked.

"Yes we won." He chuckles. I hug him and pull back remembering he's sweaty.

"Are you going to the party?" I asked.

"Party? Who said you can go to a party?" He growls.

"Kat lied to mom." I confessed. Rhys came next to me.

"Hey." He smirks.

"Hi." I blush.

"What is this?" Justin takes the phone from my pocket.

"It's a phone." I try to take it back but he unlocks it and does something.

"Where did you get this phone?" He asked handing it back to me.

"Dad gave it to me before I left." I mumbled. He looks around before leaving.

"So.. I guess you're going to go find Kat now?" He asked. I notice he was changed and didn't smell as bad as Justin.

"I think she's with Blake. Are you going to the party?" I asked.

"Yeah." He says. Rhys pulls me behind the bleachers and just stares at me. "Turn." He commands and I turn in a circle.
