~ Juli's P.O.V. ~
*2 weeks later*
After I spent time with Niall, I realized what a great guy he is. We have almost been inseperable.
Sometimes, if our gazes lock, I get butterflies in my stomach. I always remind myself that I have Carter.
And that I'm happy with him.
One day, I was coming home with Niall. We rode the elevator up to my floor.
"I still can't believe Niall Horan is like my best friend." I exclaimed.
He raised and eyebrow. "I'm just 'like' your best friend?"
I laughed. "Ok, you ARE my best friend."
I walked up to my door and began opening it. Carter was inside holding a beer. He looked at Niall like he was a monster.
"Uh, Carter, this is Niall."
"What are you doing with him?" Carter yelled.
"Carter, he's just a friend."
~ Niall's P.O.V. ~
"Carter, he's just a friend."
Those words stung.
After spending so much time with Juli, i was developing really strong feelings for her.
I know she's taken, but no girl has EVER made me feel like she does. When i look at her, I feel complete.
Yep. That sounds really clichè. But that's how I feel when I'm around her.
Her and Carter continued fighting.
"Why are you with him!"
"He's my best friend! I can hang out with Niall if I want to!"
"I don't want you seeing him anymore." Carter calmly said.
Please Juli. Keep fighting.
"If I can't see Niall anymore, I don't see why you can't stop seeing that bitch Courtney from work!"
Who's Courtney?
When Juli said that, Carter eyes grew wide.
"You can't tell me not to see her anymore. I see her everyday at work!"
"Whatever Carter." Juli rolled her eyes.
As Juli began walking off, Carter ran after her. "Listen, Juli. I'm sorry. I love you baby."
Did they realize I was still here?
"Carter, you can't just tell me who I can and cannot be friends with. Niall is my friend and no more."
These words were piercing my heart. I could feel tears well up in my eyes, but I can't cry. Not here. Not now.
"Juli, I love you more than anything in the world. I guess all I'm trying to say is-" he began getting down on one knee.
"Will you marry me?"
Did that just happen? I couldn't bear to hear her answer. I didn't even want to watch her face expression.
I turned around and ran out the door. My heart was broken into a million pieces, and if Juli said yes, I will never be the same again.
