Diamond's POV

"Wakey wakey." aunt Lisa said coming in turning on the lights.

I rolled over and covered my face.

"Diamond, it's the day of your reveal party."
"I know and I'm tired."

"Why? You and Kalen went to sleep before everyone last night."

"No, actually we woke up and started watching movies."

"Well, there's a lot for you to do today. And you need to get up."

"What is there to do besides me going over to Rodney's place seeing if the woman is doing everything right."

"Exactly! Nobody really knows how you want your party besides you. Now, get up." she said leaving out.

I laid there a few minutes and fell back to sleep. Then I woke up and hour later and went to take a shower.

When I got up, I put my hair in a bun and put on a pair of sweatpants and a tee, then slid on my Nike slippers and left.

I started my way over to Rodney's house. When I pulled it it was amazing! Big axs hell too. I went to the backyard and the woman was setting up.

"Hello, you must be Ms. Amy?" I asked.

"Yes and you must be Diamond."

"Yes, I am."

"You know you're a hour late, right?" she questioned.

"Ummm, yeah."

"That's okay, we'll keep it between us." she said.

"Well, thanks."

She showed me around and showed me everything she started on.

"You're doing an amazing job." I said.

"Are you wearing that?" she asked.

"Um, no. Rodney said he has something for me inside. I just have to asked Diana?" I asked.

"Yeah, she's the girl who's been looking out the window at me for hours. I think she's making sure we don't steal anything."

"Haha, I guess. But imma let you finish and I'm going to go up and see for myself." I said.

"Alright."

I went inside and Diana came up to me.

"Um, ma'am you can't be in here." she said.

"Are you Diana?" I asked.

"Yeah."

"Well, I'm Diamond. Rodney says he has something for me." I said

"I am so sorry ma'am. I just didn't know who you were and........

"Diana Diana, chill." I said.

"I'm sorry."

"Its cool. Just show me where's the dress."

"Right this way."

We went upstairs and into a room for a baby.

"Mr. Thomas wanted to surprise you with the outfit and the new baby's room." she said.

"Awe, this is beautiful."

"Well, thank you." Rodney said coming up behind me.

"You got good taste."

"Well, I have good money. My moms picked out this stuff. And after we reveal the gender she thinks maybe y'all can go shopping for more." he said.
