{Chapter 15}
"Sir you need to leave immediately." A nasally voice spoke from behind me, causing me to turn around.
"Alright. Is something wrong?" I was afraid something drastic was happening.
"No, but you need to leave. Thank you." She seemed to glare at me, but threw on a smile. I walked past her and into Persephone's waiting room.
I couldn't think of what to do. This situation I was in was unlike anything I'd faced before. When my depression hit me, I would draw, rather than self harm and it always helped immensely, plus I learned I was artistic.
I dug through my shopping bag that I'd gotten at the mall and pulled out a new pad of paper and a box of colored pencils. I was running low on supplies, so I had picked up some and now I was even more thankful for doing so. I looked down at my new bracelet on my wrist and knew exactly what I was going to draw.

{Jake POV}
"Mom, is dad coming home tonight?" My mom had picked me up from the hospital after receiving the news of Persephone's condition and had decided to bring me home. The doctors told me to rest my neck anyways.
"He's at home with Clara right now. He is going to the hospital when we get home." She was so... Strange. My mom was in her own little world of worry and I wanted her to be in our world of conversation.
"Alright." I played through the day in my head and stopped once I got to the accident. I skipped to the part where we were in separate ambulances. I couldn't think of Persephone.
The paramedics had laid me down on the gurney and strapped on a c-collar. Apparently I had whiplash, but not an extreme case. Those paramedics were insane, but were probably happier that they'd gotten Parker and I rather than Persephone.
Persephone lost so much blood.
Stop, Jake.
The paramedics asked Parker and I several questions. When we got to the hospital we got checked out, but Parker fell when they pulled out a needle. They didn't even use it and he fainted. The doctors were pretty worried by it though. He got rushed to another room.
I waited in Persephone's waiting room for what seemed like all night. I knew how much blood she lost and how terrible she looked.
I was beyond terrified for her health.
I was finally able to go into the room though. Redd and I had a moment and hugged. I really liked him and hoped that Persephone liked him. I could tell he liked her. In that moment that we hugged, he reassured me and made me feel like everything was going to be okay, and that is exactly what I needed.
The car stopped in our driveway and my mom shut off the car. She looked like she was going to burst but managed to speak.
"I'm so glad you're okay." She then looked over at me and smiled, or at least to the best of her abilities. I leaned over and hugged her.
"I am too, mom."
When we let go of each other we looked at one another and got out. We walked up to the front door and walked inside after unlocking it. We stepped inside together but went our separate ways not shortly after.
I went upstairs and put away my shopping bags. Mom went to go find dad to tell him he could go. I closed to door to my room and took the short walk down the hallway to Persephone's room. I set her bags inside her door and quickly walked out.
I couldn't stand thinking about how Persephone wasn't going to spend the night at home tonight.
I walked downstairs to see dads headlights pulling out of the driveway. I guess Clara was sleeping already. Well it is already 1 in the morning.
I sat down in the living room on the sofa but sprawled out after deciding it was extremely uncomfortable for my neck. My mom sat down next to me in the recliner. She started to run her fingers through my hair, which lulled me into a sleep.

{Redd POV}
I woke up to the fine lines against my paper to the sound of Mr. EnBert's voice.
"Sorry. I was just asking if you'd heard anything about Persephone?" He seemed like such a kind man.
"I'm sorry, sir, but I haven't since I last saw her and that was over two hours ago. She's in a coma."
I didn't mean to be the bearer of bad news. Mr. EnBert sighed.
"Well, something's going to bring her out of it." I liked how optimistic he was.
"I know something will, sir." I started to put away my pencils and paper.
"You know, you're very talented at drawing, or at least with that sketch."
"Thank you sir."
"Well you really are Travis." Wait a minute....
"How'd you know my name?"
"Oh, well Persephone and Jake have spoke of you. Mainly Persephone."
I really liked the thought of that. Just as I was about to ask him more about all of this a doctor came in.
"Oh, good you're still here Mr. Reynolds. There is a slight issue with Persephone and we were hoping that you would help."
I'd do anything for the sake of her well being.
