{Chapter 5}
I woke up late on Saturday due to my great dream. Rayle has become such a big part of me, he took over the gap that Tyler had left.
Tyler was the boy I'll fallen completely head over heels for and would've done anything for him. Minus crazy sexual acts. He lived two states away anyways, so sex wasn't necessarily something we could do together. He was my world and my biggest fear was losing him.
One day I had the bright idea of telling him my secret. I really thought he deserved to know. So I told him I'd cut. That's when he gave me up. I loved this being so much and now he wasn't even mine. I suppose I don't care for him anymore, but I know he will always hold a special place in my heart. I was used to people leaving me now and had more episodes of friends leaving after this.
I shook the thoughts of Tyler out of my head and walked downstairs. Avoiding food, I steered my way away from the refrigerator and got a glass of water. My parents didn't notice if I didn't eat breakfast. I took the glass and myself into the living room and sat down with my brother.
He looked up at me and smiled.
"Good morning, Lion." He snickered quietly.
"Good morning runt!" I said with a smile.
We always loved poking fun at eachother and giving each other crazy nicknames. At 12 years old, he was very mature but still acted his age which was really sweet. I really liked going on walks with him because he pointed out all the pretty things that I never see.
"Hey squirt, wanna go for a walk? I don't have anything planned today and I wanted to meet our new neighbors."
"Sure, are we going to bring them anything?" He asked thoughtfully.
I hadn't thought about that.
"We can bring them some honey!"
"That's a great idea Perry! I'll go get the jar we got yesterday. I'll be right back."
He got up and walked out to the kitchen. That was a good idea on my part. We had honeybees in our backyard for 7 years now and have been enjoying the fresh honey ever since we had the boxes installed.
I looked down at my clothes. Dang! I looked a hot mess!
"Wait five minutes for me Jake!"
"Why?"
"I look like a train wreck in human form! Why didn't you tell me?"
"Sorry..." Jake muttered softly.
I ran upstairs and pulled on a black pair of jeans. I found a white sweater and whipped that on as well. I took off my glasses and put in my contacts. I braided my hair down my side and stuck a head band in. My magenta hair looked cute like this.
I hurried back down stairs and caught up with Jake. He had the jar of honey in his hand and the other was on our door knob.
"You finally ready princess?" He asked with a laugh.
"Of course I am goose!"
With that he opened up the door and we walked out into the sunlight.
Dang. Today was warm...
"When are you going to quit wearing long sleeves and what not?" He asked while we stepped out onto the sidewalk.
"When my scars fade." I replied. Jake was the only one who knew about my scars besides my parents and Tyler. Tyler. I could picture him laughing at a dumb joke I made through a web call. Huh, I need to quit.
